This is a very good Discord: still tricky, but able to get his point across without doing something excessively dramatic.

Anyway, that was a fun and cute story. I liked the chemistry between Starlight and Discord throughout the story, not to mention how Discord took the role of a mentor-like figure in this story. It makes me want to see more of their interactions in the future, whether through great stories like this one or in the show itself. Nicely done!

My god, what a sin we have here. A bit cocky, especially since you can't reach 1,000 followers. I'll label you as the sin of pride.
One of the things I love most about this site is that pretty much every single character has been paired with one another in some form or fashion, and here is yet another pairing that I really wouldn't think of on my own. I really like the idea of these two together, and the story works well from their similarities as well as their differences.
However, I can't help but feel like it was a little rushed. An idea like this just doesn't really seem to fit the <2500 word length, and I feel like Starlight and Discord's interaction was hustled along a bit more than it should have been.
Other than that, I can say that I enjoyed myself reading it. Nice job!

Now, onto my thoughts on the story. I feel the end, while heartwarming in its own way, was a bit watered down. When Discord pulled her in front of the mirror and asked his question I thought she'd get it wrong on the first try and hit it the second and then he'd tell her something along the lines of "That's right. Starlight Glimmer and Discord. Ponies will always remember what we've done, the evils we've subjected them to, and it's not right to demand they forget. Because they shouldn't. But what you can do... what we can do, is show them not how and what we were, but who and what we're going to be from now on." and that would be his friendship lesson.
Something like that done in your style would have, at least on a personal level, been more powerful for me. And I don't even like redemption stories, and I'm fairly sure both of these characters are mass-murderers with bodycounts too high to measure. Upvoted anyway though!
The fun moment when Discord points out the clear cut solution that was right in front of you the whole time.

Fimfiction "elite" status is kind of a inside joke between us all, and I honestly thought my trolling was over the top enough that people would know it was a joke. But, as you said, the internet in general doesn't always see that.

Even in the pre-Internet days, shows like Monty Python had to do things like have the actors hold up a sign saying 'JOKE' or have the word 'SATIRE' flashing in big bright letters on the screen to stop people from shooting them mid-episode. 'Joke' videos meant to be piss-takes of, for example, amateur vlog series, will always look like the creator's just straight-up run out of ideas and is imitating a successful medium without bringing any of their ability to the new venture.
I'll freely admit to not bearing you ill will over this, but honestly? I'd advise against that sort of running joke in publicly viewable settings, in case you run into a version of me that doesn't want to listen to reason.

I always got the feeling that Discord would hate Starlight, given that she was basically everything he opposed, the removal of anything special or different, ultimate order and all that. Order is more opposed to chaos than harmony ever was.
7308923 This is definitely true, but I don't think that hate is something Discord is actually capable of. While he is the spirit of chaos and disharmony, he's also a very fun-loving character, and really just enjoys messing with everyone, no matter how much like him they are.
But, it could also be argued that her village was the epitome of disharmony, because she literally ripped away ponies' lives just to make everyone act the same way. It all depends on how you look at it, I suppose.
