Now granted, it's completely coincidental; my Blue Moon character hasn't even shown up yet, and is NOT the Batmare character of my fic, plus I'm sure Blue Moon's been used as an OC name multiple times. Alrighty, through both chapters you've got up and glad to say I'm really enjoying this so far. You've opted for the approach that I recommend anyone should take with crossovers; that is, you're doing an adaptation rather than a pure crossover, where you're clearly trying to make the Batman mythos work in the Equestrian setting. Very good indeed, and I commend you for that; most people just want to jump into the action-y bits without properly developing their story or justifying the crossover.
I will say that the one thing you need to watch out for as the story progresses is don't be afraid to have a slow pace. This is a very good start, but there's no need to rush to the cape and cowl either. Like I said before, almost every other Batmare story I've seen here starts with the Batmare character already wearing the cape and cowl, just because the authors want to get to the action, and the story suffers for it. I don't think you'll do that though, from what I've seen.
You seem to have a good grasp of the Batman mythos, enough that you are able to tweak things but retain the integrity and themes of it, so I'd be very honored if you decided to take a look at my own Batmare Begins. That and it's interesting how we seem to have some comparable ideas. Without giving anything away, Princess Luna is going to play a major role in my own fic as well, though I'm not worried about her resembling how Luna is going to be in your own fic. Still, if you would like to exchange ideas periodically via PM, I'd be happy too, if of course you're ever worried of our fics being too similar, but like I said, I'm not too concerned about that. Be sure to join the Marvel/DC group run by Avenging Hobbits here and to add your story, it's a great group to add your fic.
Oh, and one more thing; you seem to be referring to Bat Ponies as Night Ponies at the moment. I don't blame you for dropping Bat Ponies as that sounds kind of silly, but if you wanted a name that sounded even more official than Night Ponies, you could always use Thestrals instead. That's a popular choice among many Bat Pony fans here (myself included), taken from a name of magical horses from the Harry Potter series which are somewhat similar in nature to Bat Ponies. No need to if you don't want, but in case you hadn't heard the name I thought I'd let you know. Have a favorite, like, and follow, and have a nice day!

Not sure about the actual bat pony thing. I always pictured Night Ponies as being simply Pegasi who are related to Princess Luna. I wasn't entirely sure of the actual lore behind the bat ponies, so I decided that it would be a slightly simpler route to take. If you could help me out with that, I would appreciate it, if you don't mind. You seem to be knowledgeable about Bat Ponies.
Oh, and don't worry. It will be at least a couple of chapters before she actually becomes Batmare.

Oh if that's what you're doing, then by all means keep referring to them as Night Ponies. The thing about Bat Ponies/Thestrals/Night Ponies is there is no set canon with them beyond their one appearance in the first Nightmare Night episode, so fanfic authors have a lot of wiggle room with that. Some make them just pegasi or ponies in a specific branch of the royal guard, others (myself included) make them a completely different species which are closely related to bats (with bat wings, more pointed ears, maybe diets like fruit bats, etc.). There's a couple of large groups here dedicated to Bat-Pony fics where you could certainly learn more, but again, you can do whatever you want because there's not much in the way of set canon with them.

First off, yes another good Batmare fic! Those are so rare these days. I'm in the process of doing my own little adaptation DC fic about The Flash (and possibly another character later on) myself so this is always nice to compare. Batbrony knows his stuff and it will be interesting on your versions of the classic and not so classic Batman villains adapted like of course Joker, Bane, Scarface and one of my personal favorites Clayface. This is going to faved and tracked.

It's based on various things in the movies and comics. Some of it is also just me making things up.
Ah, finally got around to reading your latest chapter (I've got a ton of favorites to catch up on and am only now just getting around to it). Still very much enjoying the pace of this, though the one warning I will give is this. As far as Blue's story goes, you've clearly started in media res, probably taking inspiration from Batman Begins; the only difficult thing with that in this instance is that Blue clearly has a VERY different background than Bruce Wayne (even more so than my own iteration of Derpy in Batmare Begins does), so there's a ton of exposition and backstory that you kinda have to tell us in order to understand the context of some of Blue's actions and behavior. The good news is you seem rather adept at delivering said exposition so far, but there's still plenty of room for more being delivered, and this whole chapter pretty much shows that in that it was pretty much reunion after reunion with backstory sprinkled in. Again, not saying this can't be done well or that you're not doing it well, just saying to be careful with it because you could easily get too caught up in it; you've got plenty of world-building to do as it is since you have a setting which isn't canon in MLP to develop, getting mired down in backstory and Blue having "such and such reunions" every chapter could bog the plot down if you don't monitor things carefully. Other than that, good stuff, very good stuff, I am liking this very much! Best of luck with your writing, friend!
