The Cyan Recluse

I'm reclusive. It's right there in the name.

In an empty dive bar at the edge of Canterlot sits a tired, battered mare and a long line of empty shot glasses. Everypony says it wasn't her fault. They say that sometimes bad things just happen. They say all sorts of things. Maybe they even believe it.

But what do they know?

They weren't there.

God... This is despressing.

7131685 A continuation of my previous comment cause I had to log off briefly. This is depressing, but it's a great story. I feel so sorry for a certain mare and I do like how you kept her identity a secret till the end. Ouch, survivor's guilt. Nasty stuff, isn't it?

Wow, heavy stuff. Survivor's guilt coupled with the responsibility of her position. Poor mysterious mare.

Deep. I like it! More would be appreciated.

She's right in having regrets. They literally could have just pushed the airship out of the way.

This is a touch heavy-hoofed in the delivery, but write-offs don't leave much time for lengthy refining and I respect that.

For a short exploration of guilt and regret, this delivers a strong atmosphere and a neat concept. Mildly blunt delivery is only a small stumbling block. All in all, I liked it a lot. Especially getting a clearer sense of just what the Wonderbolts, you know, DO. : P

Well done! Thumb for you. :rainbowdetermined2:

That was excellent as others have said, although I feel like it would have been stronger if you had avoided using names. After all, there were plenty of other Wonderbolts before and after the show and there was nothing to pin it to any specific time so leaving them anonymous would have let it organically expand out to more broadly reflect the Wonderbolts as a concept and in doing so would also extend to all emergency response personnel everywhere.
