Doctor Whooves closed his eyes quickly, feeling something rush over him. He opened them again to see a rainbow shockwave flying in all directions, with what was left of Rainbow Dash lying motionless in a massive crater.
He picked up his device, mentally calculating. His eyes widened as he realized his mistake. "Oops."
A blue turian walked up behind him, placing a heavy hand on his shoulder. He took the device in his free hand, staring at it with mild curiosity. Handing it back, he gave the doctor's shoulder a quick pat. "That, my friend...is why you always double-check your calibrations."
Garrus stepped back, raised a fist to the sky, and promptly shot straight up into the atmosphere and back into his own universe.
Whooves stared at his invention in awe. "GENIUS!" he exclaimed, galloping back to his laboratory, leaving Rainbow Dash sprawled lifeless in the dirt.
