After mourning the loss of his family, Twilight and her friends comfort Spike and try to comfort him. A journey to the Castle of the Two Sisters, however, reveals a secret tunnel that speaks of a place that could help Spike find his family at last. Finding a map left by Starswirl the Bearded detailing the location of a Dragon Archive, a place where all dragon knowledge and history is stored, Spike and the Mane Six embark on a quest to discover Spike's family. Unfortunately, the cave is guarded by creatures not even Starswirl could stop with his magic. With Spike's fire, however, the group can enter the cave during the day. Along the way, Spike may very well learn that family and friend are not so different.
I had this idea for the longest time. Finally, I decided to share this idea with others. This is my first fanfic so any advice or feedback would be appreciated. This story focuses around Spike and the Mane Six. It has plenty of drama and adventure.
meh, there were a fair number of things I didn't agree with, like how dragons wrote in the EXACT SAME language that the gang could read, and basically no indication when the last dragon was there, hinting at a century ago, but then gave evidence of less than a decade, along with a few of the choices and decisions made (form the second half of chapter 3 onward)
But for what it was, it was an enjoyable read.
The fact that Pinkie can be related to an idiot named Minty scares me.

7250704 Not at the moment, no. Sorry. Sequels will only happen if I can add something new to expand on the original, have thought out and charted the events of said sequel, and think there is more to explore. Before writing a sequel, I'd need to consider what new ideas I could explore.
7251659 I have an idea that could work for a sequal. The destruction of an Archive resonated throughout the Dragon Lands. The Keepers of the Archieves, dragons who are tasked in the expansion and preservation of the Archieves, rush to the scene. There they find six sets of pony tracks and one set of dragon tracks. Knowing that the ponies were behind the destruction of the Archieves, they head to Canterlot to speak to Celestia. Celestia, connecting the dots after reading Spikes letter, then summons the Main Six plus Spike to her. They meet with Celestia and the Keepers, two of the Keepers recognize the hatchling of the egg that was forced from them all those years ago...
