Well then.
As for Lightning Dust being in this story, well, I think we can both agree that the only two things that really supported her character were the name, and that one line in the story about being kicked out of the academy. So I guess that technically anypony could have gone there. Anyway...
Writing this story was rather difficult. It was hard to introduce any passion or intensity into the story when one party is completely unanimated. I do want to try writing a story with both parties being involved.
Perhaps I'll do that in the sequel, hehehehe.

.....I'm not sure what I was expecting, considering it says what it is right on the tin. Weird, but interesting....although Lightning Dust x Tank still doesn't beat Rainbow Dash x Kitchen Sink.
It's good to see that Lightning Dust's taste in tanks is as bad as her leadership abilities.
Only natural she would enjoy the KV-2's 152mm payload.
Nothing less than the 'King of Derp' tank would satisfy her.

For some reason I was expecting the canon to go off, killing Lightning.
It reminded me off the story were Shining Armor fucks his car and sufficates shortly after.

That's exactly what I was going to do in this story. But, I decided to cut it out because I didn't want to turn a bunch of people away from the story, and I'd have have to add the gore tag.

Why the KV-2?
Surely there are better looking tanks out there. But anyway, weird story, as such it was good.

Why the KV-2? Well, first off, it's Russian. The plot demands that. Secondly, it has a massive bloody barrel, 152mm on the inside, and around about 240mm on the outside; perfect for a story such as this.
Finally, there is a sense of hilarity when you know that the KV-2 was quite possibly one of the worst tanks of the war. They couldn't fire the gun when the turret was pointing sideways, because the tracks would be ripped off, and they couldn't rotate the turret sideways when the tank was on anything other than flat ground.
The tank is a ridiculous, gold-awful Russian one, to answer your question.

My friend pretty much only plays tanks, he had T5 in America and T3 or T4 in Britian.
