A veritable suppository of knowledge on the accurate use of words

T

Fifteen years ago one of Equestria's most successful privateers sprang all the pirates from the maritime prison, destroyed much of Baltimare's naval harbor and disappeared into the night with a formidable fleet. Now the Equestrian Navy admiralty has sent a ship to hunt him down. But Morning Breeze had not spent the last fifteen years twiddling his metaphorical thumbs. Just how powerful is the Pirate King, and what is he running from?

Sorry I took so long getting around to this. As far as opening chapters go, this doesn't do a whole lot to explain what's going on. I'm assuming there's something like a mystery of ghost ship correct?

7233568 The prologue was added quite a few chapters later. I just wanted to give readers a quick preview of the horrors to come. I think it leads nicely to Chapter 1, but I could very well be wrong.

7233601 Alright. I hope you don't mind me taking ages to get around to this. :twilightblush:

7238783 It also took me ages to publish this much. Of course I don't mind.

7238786 Phew. I was kinda worried that you'd be irritated about my slowness. :twilightoops: I'll be honest, while I'm not able to glean that much so far, I will say that I am intrigued, seeing as I'm a sucker for all things involving the high seas, pirates, or bucklers of swashing.

7244993 Ah yes, that age-old question.

It's one of the fundamental questions of the universe that make up the foundation of human thought. Philosophers have long believed that if we knew the answer to that question, we would know much more about the nature of the universe than we do now.

Personally, I believe it'll make you live longer, increase your libido, remove wrinkles and tan lines, and improve your employability.

Wait, I thought NaNoWriMo was in November.

8039014 It was from 2 years ago. I wrote 25,000 words back then but never got around to finishing it.

If the main OCs in this story were voiced, what would they sound like?

I guess anything would work for Gingersnap and Coral Frond. I always hear Moonlight as Captain Janeway. Morning Breeze is like Khan in The Wrath of Khan when he whispers "buried alive." His voice always sounds kind of threatening and makes everyone uncomfortable the first time they hear it.
