It's both cute and sad how close yet so far they are from taking any steps forward. Of course, they are both shy by nature, but said natures can contrast enough to help them both. If I had to guess, it's probably Mac who'd break the ice. Oh he's shy enough to keep this going for a bit, but he is a bit more 'backboned' than other shy ponies in the show...of course, this is probably one of his first crushes and love can make you a bit loopy.
I rather enjoyed this little story and I can't wait for more of it soon.

6654525 To be fair, they've both lived lives that don't allow for a whole lot of emotional expression, and the story will now push them back apart until spring has come and Granny Smith has done some research on the Choosing Stone.
6654535 I know that. Big Mac had to grow up fast, although the show will never have a canon scene explaining what happened to the Apple parents. Marble has her family's strict and austere upbringing to deal with. I do apologize, I was trying to be funny, not critical of the pacing. It really fits these two to take time and see where it leads.
