I'm an avid writer that enjoys creating human x pony romance stories. If you like what you've read, then perhaps you'd Buy Me A Coffee?

E

It's the night of the third day following Luna's return. Celestia invites Luna to her room and finally has a chance to tell Luna something she's shared with no other pony, not even her faithful student, Twilight. She explains to her sister how she spent those days during the thousand years, by revealing her most heartbreaking memories and showing Luna a room that no other pony has ever seen before.

Note:
This story is something I've had in the works for over two years now. The cover image and the song "Lullaby for a Princess" had strongly inspired me, along with a number of other images involving Celestia and Luna's sorrow. While I had the concept and a rough outline, I was never quite sure how I wanted to do the delivery. I wanted to do something that would tug at the reader's heartstrings, but until a few weeks ago, I didn't have the inspiration or the confidence to follow through. But now, whether this story succeeds or fails, I'm glad I found the inspiration to write this. I'm happy with how it turned out and hope you will enjoy it as well.

I know there are a number of other similar stories out there, but this is just my thoughts on how Luna and Celestia's reconciliation took place beyond what we saw in the series pilot.

If anyone knows the artist that did the cover image, please let me know so I can post a link and give them credit for such an inspirational work or art!

one of the best takes on this subject I have seen.

So Emotional Right Now.

Them feels, man. Them feels. :fluttershysad:

Almost made me cry again.

Celestia nodded. “Yes. Thanks to that book from the archives, I worked on a plan to free you from the beginning and hopefully turn you back to normal.”

Which also involved teaching her pupil the true value of friendship at the same time. :trollestia:

There is the song, but do you know of its animation yet?

And finally I am once again guilty of only managing to say it's a really great short story, instead of something more profound like I wish I could say. Unfortunately it can't be helped if you lack that sort of knowledge. :pinkiesad2:

This is one of the few I've read where they actually seem like sisters. Great work.

An action more powerful than words could ever say!

Glad you enjoyed it!

Almost made you cry, again?

That's a new animation of the song to me. I saw a different one, but this one...was truly spectacular!

And don't worry. This story is hardly deserving of any true adulations. It's just a little something I've had in mind and put together. I still don't think it fully conveys what I wanted it to.

Thank you, I was hoping to make things between Luna and Celestia feel like that of sisters.

6402870 Well for what it's surely worth, you did fine with it. Best pony princesses for sure! :pinkiehappy: (with Luna coming out on top courtesy of Magic Sheep as I have already told about :twilightsheepish:)

Yeah. I try to keep my emotions in check. Besides, who wants to see a grown man cry over a fictional story out in public?

awwww so good and sad... cries!!!!! another master;piecce my friend! keep up the good work like I know you do

THE FEELS! DAMN YOU AND THE FEELS!!!

So sweet and sad! I loved this.

So deep and beautiful:pinkiesad2:

Thank you. :fluttercry: I was hoping it would touch my readers heartstrings.

Them feels though bro.

The last time I cried like this was reading To Make A Spark... Magnificently written, thank you.

Thank you very much for this touching story. I especially loved the tie-in with Lullaby for a Princess; this seemed like the perfect reunion ending to that beautiful and touching piece by Ponyphonic.

Thank you again for brilliantly adding depth to 2 characters that otherwise scream for more development in the show.

In my continuing quest to read and post detailed comments on all of your stories, I've encountered this little gem. It's definitely a change of pace to see a story written by you that isn't a romance. Being that your romance is so good, I was wondering what a story of a different category would look like from you, and I was not disappointed. Even though it's fairly short, it definitely delivers on the promise of invoking readers' emotions.

Before reading this, I guess I hadn't given that much thought to how Princess Celestia handled the long 1000 years following having to send her sister to the moon, so this offered an interesting new perspective. Of course, I would have expected her to feel awful about it shortly after the fact, but I didn't realize the pain would last that long. In particular, the flashback 950 years into the past (50 years post-banishment) was one of the most intense and memorable parts in the story. The sadness, overall, is just really done superbly; the whole thing is very touching, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel like shedding a tear the entire time.

I've known for a long time that you're into Celestia and Luna, but I never really read any stories you wrote about those mares, except for once maybe, so I'm glad I finally had a chance to experience this, and I'll be sure to check out your other stories on them sometime as well. Although you did touch on it briefly, one thing I would have really liked to learn more about is what Luna's experience was being trapped on the moon. If that's something you'd be interested in writing about, I'd definitely like to read it.
