I'm not really a big fan of TrixDash, (more of a TwiDash), but it fits quite well. The Rarity and Fluttershy mix works as well, I have learned that from A Bluebirds Song.
I have found some small mistakes, but I will keep my mouth shut about them as I am much worst in my story.

Hey at least I gave your work a shot before I tried to judge it.
And it isn't your style per se as I liked some of your other works.
Best way to describe it is I wanted Apple Pie and I got was lemon meringue pie.
646334 k...but my rebuttle is that even if you didnt want merrange, it was good merrange. it should be judged on how good of a merange it is. No one goes to a pie judging contest and marks it down for being "not my kind of thing"...just my kind of thing. I judge a story on how good it is in the genra is put under. A clopfic wont be graded next to a normal story

OK....So...Celestia is a bit outta character. When has she ever really demanded something?
Why would she demand something like this?
Why would she be willing to rip apart lovers for something this small?
Why would Rarity, the best known romanticist, rip them apart only feeling a bit ashamed?
I'm pretty sure usually, upon seeing a scene like she had ripped Octavia from, she would have felt really bad and tried to not go through with what she did.
Why did Twilight, who got them together in the first place, allow this. She never spoke up, she never talked to her after the show.
It's like you introduce someone, give them a small part, and then throw them to the side to look pretty.

2038729 as far as Celestia, she was never told that Octavia would be against the offer, only Rarity relayed the information. And as much as Rarity tries to set them up, her own dreams for fame were more powerful, and she decided glory would outweigh love. Twilight...well, she wasn't there. She was only a small role because she only needed a small role. If you remember, they were at Vinyl's house when Rarity took Octavia, and Twilight and Vinyl never had a deep relationship to which trust could be given. Besides that, I don't think Vinyl would have gone to see Twilight because it would admit defeat, and she is known for her stubbornness. Think about that...

Unless you thought I meant Vinyls show or her house then yes, she wasn't there. But however she was at the act. She tried setting Octavia up many times and must by then had heard something about it. With how far ahead she was thinking with the two when she first thought they would work I would think her hope would have been brought back up by them living together. Still It surprises me that someone who got Octavia so many gigs and "Dates" wouldn't even speak to her after something as big as playing for the princess. Maybe a question or something. "How's it going?" "How ya been since everything you owned went down in a fiery blaze?" Ya know? Something.
Rarity is the element of Generosity. Yet she "selfishly" went through such a thing for her own goals.
I hope this will not somehow devolve into an argument. I simply wished to put out my points to explain why I voted the story the way I did so that you would understand. I know that around this site far too many people simple vote down and leave without explaining why.
