great start... and with the many potential ways one can travel with this concept, I'm eager to see which way it'll go in the first chapter (I consider the prologue to be the zeroth chapter)
very interesting... and not only answers some of the questions I had, but opens a lot more... some with possibilities along the lines of my own story of this matter (perhaps including Spike doings things to help make their kingdom thrive productively, not just parasitically)
I didn't really see anything indicating a change of heart here. From thoughts, just another opportunity.

Am I the only one who thinks that Rarity has been well... taking advantage of Spike's crush for her own benefit? She's known well before Secrets of my Excess, yet she's used him as a pack mule on at least two occasions since then.
You know, the only thing going through my head when I finished reading is that ponies are stupid. I mean, what did they do after the Canterlot Wedding? Just forget about them? It never occurred to them they might show up again someday?
