Kodeake

I read. I write. I edit. I Twidash. But above all else, I'm just a regular guy. Shoot me a PM if you have a question.

T

Twilight had been sick for weeks. But no matter how much her marefriend, Rainbow Dash, insisted, she was sure it was just a regular head cold and she'd get better soon enough.

Unfortunately, when she wakes up in the hospital unable to use her magic, the worst case scenario becomes a reality.

--Takes place just before Twilight becomes and Alicorn
--The grand revival of my long lost fic previously named What Makes us Special. New plot and everything.
-- Rated teen for slightly mature themes later in the story.

Well... That was a mood killer. Do continue! :pinkiehappy:

as much as it makes me sound like an asshole, this is the result of her being a stubborn idiot. maybe next time she'll actually put caution over her own supposed large amount of knowledge.

Not often that you see Twilight losing her magic instead of Rainbow Dash losing her wings. It's an interesting turnaround.

5798816 The doctor said that they didn't have any treatments for it other than to keep it from killing her. She would still need the ring to suppress her magic; she just wouldn't have needed to be rushed into the hospital first.

Okay good. If you understood that then I made it clear enough. When 5798816 missed the point I was worried I hadn't made it as clear as I thought.

Anyway, Twi losing her magic is something I've only seen once in a Twidash, and it was abandoned over two years ago now. I figured I needed to fill that particular slot.

5800013 Will this have negative repercussions on her status as the Element of Magic?

I'd have been interested by this story, were it not for the 'already there' shipping.

What Makes us Special sounds familiar. was the story about how rainbow dash goes to the cemetery and remembers the time she had with twilight but twilight gets sick and unfortunately dies at near end but twilight suddenly comes back and embrace rainbow dash ond for twilight to be queen chrysalis at the end?

You're thinking of Wizard of Words' I'll Love You Forever. What Makes us Special was about Twilight losing her magic, like this one.

Well, this is interesting! I'm definitely following this story. Please, let there be more!

Oh...I mean, I saw this coming, it said it in the description, but it was way more feely than expected!

I'm going to read this tomorrow...if the thing I read it on actually works then...
I liked What makes us special, I'm probably going to read it again soon. I'm really curious about how this story is going to be.

5802867 oh thank you so much. that's why this sounded so familiar. thanks again

Interesting. I've read a TwiDash where Rainbow loses her ability to fly, but never one where Twilight loses her magic. I eagerly await more.

5800054 This is just me, but I wouldn't think so. This is just my belief, but the element of magic is who Twilight in a sense is, but this is up to Kodeake.

I know what's going to happen.

Rainbow's wings are magic conduits. She's going to be able to transfer Twilight's magic back into her somehow using her wings.

Noooooooope. The effect of this story would be severely lessened if she regained her magic

6242412 Then what was the point in saying Rainbow's wings were able to conduct magical energy? That's a move most authors utilize. Subtly mention something that is important for later. What's the point in mentioning something that may seem pointless but could be used for the future?

6242618
Well I never said it wouldn't be used. I just said Twi doesn't get her magic back.

Welp, as said earlier by BabySkittleMonster , this is realy a mood killer, yet tis interesting idea:pinkiesad2:
Looking forward to the time, when you maybe will continue this, and to your other stories.
Best of luck:twilightsmile:

Just like she does not get her magic back this story does not get continued? :duck:

Poor Twilight…:pinkiesad2:
