Since her defeat at the hooves of Twilight Sparkle, Trixie has again taken to laboring on a rock farm. She is a good worker, even by Maud Pie’s standards. The days are long, hot, and boring. But all of that is about to change when a certain magical artifact is unearthed by the show pony.
Note: The magical artifact Trixie finds is based on the Dungeons and Dragons item called a “Rod of Wonder.” This rod is a magical device that whenever used, casts a magical spell that is completely random. The authors used a “Rod of Wonder Generator” from this website.

This is off to a fun start. The interaction between Trixie and Maud is pretty cute without wandering into blatant and forced Mauxie shipping. (I don't mind Mauxie at all, but I prefer for it to develop properly.) I wanna see where this goes.

Minor issue: There's no mention of Trixie (or Maud) turning visible again. Unless Hayseed (Turniptruck?) can see invisible, I think it needs to be mentioned.
Good development so far. Love how Maud is protective of her rocks.

Yeah, we actually have a D&D group down where we live that still loves to play first addition. In our opinion first addition is pretty fast and loose on the rules in quite a few areas. Which is just fine with us. Half the night we spend B.S.ing and the other half is spent arguing with the DM. Fun times.

Honestly me neither. I've heard that their a blast to use though. One of my D&D buddies found himself and his party in a very tight spot and so what he did was he broke a rod of wonder over his knee. I think the resulting blast killed one of his party members and a whole bunch of other things.
