Loved this story, although I find it a bit odd that you chose Garble of all dragons. I can see the similarity in their color palette, just as Spike is kind of similar to Twil'y, but it just strikes me as off that you chose Garble, who is a drake to be Sunset Shimmer's assistant, rather than a wyrm type of dragon, which is what Spike is (Wingless dragon with access to magic as compensation.).
Good, emotional story though, and it earns my like and favorite.

I don't see what dragon species has to do with anything. Really, Garble is the perfect choice, not just because of color scheme, but mainly because of his peculiar antipathy toward ponies. I find the premise to be both believable and interesting.

Wow what a story and I probably would treat this as an alternate universe but I do love the idea of Sunset and Garble would have history with each other even becoming friends but unfortunately their friendship have become broken after what Sunset did to him and he never forgotten that after all those years even when Sunset did return he was still mad at her for what she did to him and what she said it was a Bittersweet story but it was good keep up the good work
