Princess Celestia has put out a reward for anypony willing to venture into the Everfree Forest in order to acquire some incredibly rare—but dangerous—creatures, for the purposes of research and education. Cratus is the only pony willing to answer the call; after all, he's dealt with dangerous and rare creatures his entire life.
But there is another pony who might prove useful to him, and his cause. He's heard tell of her affinity for wild creatures: specifically, her unparalleled ability to keep them calm.
Never did he anticipate the impact that convincing her to join him would have on either of their lives.

Anyway, nice start. Mythic Chains is a helluva sweet name. I get the impression the prologue is one of those things were the reader is dropped off the middle of the story, and then everything comes full circle later. I'm curious enough to read more if you wrote more.

I have actually been contemplating it, yes. I'll have to read through again to refresh my memory, and make some slight tweaks to what I already have first, but then I'll rustle up my team and hopefully make some progress. Might take a little time, but it'll happen!

As per my most recent blog post, I have modified the name Mythic Chains to Cratus instead, owing to new official canon courtesy of the MLP CCG. This does not change or alter the story in any way, but I felt the change was necessary, as I try to adhere to all sources of canon when possible. I hope you understand.

I'm really intrigued by this Fluttershy we're seeing here. She's much more confident and self assured, but still shy and scared. It feels like she's grown from the one we know in the show, but not so much that we don't recognize her.
Cratus seems intriguing to, he's a good foil for her and also is willing to give her the leeway she needs, but also push her to grow and develop.

I very much enjoyed the first chapter and can't wait to see what more you can dish out. The only thing that really bothering me was Fluttershy's letter. When you write a letter you don't write 'umm...' and stuff like, but that's just me being nit picky
Hmmm, I wonder what the last item in the list could be. Always good to have a little bit of mystery in a story.
