I loved Captain Planet growing up so this was fun. It also let me poke fun at the Root of the Problem arc in the current comic book. Thank you IDW for providing me with perfect fodder for this :)
Also, I know the cover pic isn't the human Eco Kids, I couldn't FIND a picture of the human Eco Kids.

I remember this show from a while ago. (But I had to get up at 4 a.m. to watch it)

Not bad. A cute little parody of Captain Planet.
And note that I really didn't like Captain Planet. At all. It had some good points, but it was extremely preachy and some of the stories were WAY too weird for it's own good despite taking itself seriously (the drug episode, especially. A serious look about a kid dying of a drug overdose (and they just forget about him real fast) combined with a friggin' zombie apocalypse. WTF?). I was more of a fan of Stop the Smoggies. Sure, it was a lot cheesier and doesn't take itself seriously, but I found the characters more likeable and the environmental messages more subtle and effective (surprisingly). The trio of antagonists are a pure joy to watch, too.
