Ever since the events of 'Magic Duel', Trixie has been plagued with residual effects of the Alicorn Amulet and decided to live a life of seclusion to protect everypony from her inner monster. One night however, she is visited by the demon, Shadow, who gives her the knowledge of two paths that could lead to her salvation. Armed with this knowledge, Trixie begins her quest of final redemption for her past mistakes.

5682061 Oh trust me, not many are. There are a couple, but Shadow himself is a complicated mess with a LOT of story behind him that I'll get to writing on fimfiction at a later date. In this reality, the reason the term 'demon' is basically the definition of evil, is because the evil demons are numerous and far more known than the handful of good ones. As for Shadow, long story short, he takes it upon himself to protect the world from the shadows, (no pun intended). This is just a story that he's cameoing in because all of my stories take place in the same world.
Woh! Don't know what your planning. We know from the comics that in an alternate universe a Humble Trixie exist but she's an Alicorn. It's even in her title. Princess of Humility. You have sparked my intress so I'm going to follow this story.

Well Alicornhood is never fully explained but what I can glimpse from all the cannon resources, is that in order to archive Alicornhood a pony needs to get a deeper understanding of their special talent and then transform it into a new magic. Take Twilight and Cadence. Twilight special talent is magic, as says so her cutie mark.
But when you so look more closer to twilight cutie mark you see it's one big star surrounded by 5 smaller ones. The big star is herself and represents magic, the smaller stars represents her 5 friends. So what this tells is Twilight real meaning of her cutie mark is the magic of friendship. Once she corrected Star Swirl spell, her true calling had been completed and thus she ascended to Alicornhood.
Cadence has a similar story in the Crystal Heart book in which she understood her true meaning of her cutie mark and talent. Which she did, she created the magic of love and thus became the young pegasus an Alicorn.
Since this story is about Trixie let's take a look at her cutie mark. Which is a magic wand and glitterdust in shape somewhat of a moon. She her special talent is magic. Some people say that her real special talent is stage Magic but I disagree because she doesn't have a magician wand as cutie mark but one of a fairy godmother. So let's take a step back and look at all the fairy tales that have Fairy Godmothers in them. Cinderella, Pinocio and Sleeping Beauty.
In Cinderella the Godmother uses her magic so a young innocent girl (whom life had been harsh by fate) could go to the ball to dance with a prince. In Pinocio a fairy godmother granted the wish of toy maker to have a son by giving a wooden puppet the gift of life and eventually made the puppet a real boy. In Sleeping Beauty a Fairy Godmother prevented the death of a princess by altering the curse that was placed upon her from death to eternal sleep.
So why bringing the Fairy Godmothers? Well like I said Trixie wand is that of a fairy godmother. And what do all fairy godmothers in fairy tales? They use their magic to create a miracle for protagonist(s). So my theory is that Trixie true meaning of her cutie mark is the magic of miracles. Or more precisely to use her magic to create a miracle for someone in a hopeless situation. However Trixie main flaw is that she's too ego centric (Narcissistic) too truly be that benevolent. Indeed she would use magic for others but it's always done with in mind that it would make her look good.
In this story Trixie is going to try be more humble, if she succeeds well it's not mine story but if writer had seen the comic in which we see Trixie counterpart of that alternate universe, the princess of humility. He may or may not let Trixie also rise to Alicornhood. After all if Trixie becomes humble, then she really can use her magic to create miracles for others while being truly benevolent about it.
Of course this is my theory and I really don't know what the writer is planning, and of course us writers/readers can use anything to justify Alicornhood transformation. I have read stories that Alicornhood is given by other Alicorns, Overdoses of Raw Magic, A special magical artefact that was created by one of the Alicorn Princess to transform one into an Alicorn, heck there is even a story where Trixie becomes an Alicorn with combination of her Narcissism and the Mirror Pool from the too many pinky pies.
He, look at me talking all about Alicornhood while we even don't know if this is the writers intend or that he simple want the write a simple redemption story for Trixie. Personally I'm fine with either, but not knowing which path will be taken makes the story just so more interesting for me.

6637327 wow. I know that, and I'd claim that it was a typo, but there were four of them in there. lol. thanks for the catch. I also found a spot where it was meant to say 'to' but said 'you,' while looking for the 'either' typos. oh the errors that we miss. lol. In any case, hope you enjoy the story so far, and look forward to the next chapter...... whenever I can finish it.
