*Spoilers for "Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion" "Shivering Isles" quest-line*
In the 3rd era, Sheogorath was sick of the Greymarch, he was sick of having to rebuild his kingdom, he was sick of swapping back-and-forth between his amazing self and boring, old Jyggalag. So he decided to try something new, to play a little trick, he decided to leave behind a champion to defend his realm from his other self. No one could possibly have predicted the results, not even if they had bothered to try.

Pretty good; though frankly, it is just telling the story behind The Elder Scrolls series. I believe this FimFic has potential, you just have to harness this potential and use it for the better. This can either become one of the top Fics that I've ever read, or it can fall out of the sky; dead. I hope it's fate won't become true to the latter. :pinkiehappy:

561120 I do allude to discord, but I really meant Discord to be Sheogorath's minion, his daedric creature born of mania and dementia (the actual forms of insanity) that formed when "everything started siftin' out" in the realm of Equestrian Nirn as he called it. (I may have some inconsistencies with the prequestrian Elder Scrolls lore, but come on, the Mad God doesn't have to be an exactly reliable source of history does he?)

You do know after the events of shivering isles your character becomes sheogorath. There is some evidence in skyrim that supports he/she stays sheogorath forever. Not saying I dont like what you did with this story just curious if you knew or not. I'll look out for updates though.

565678 I did know, but it actually made me pretty sad to think about (original Sheogorath was cool) I decided to go with "The Champion of Cyrodill" staying mortal, just with extra powers and then eventually dying, and the MadGod himself existing, supressed in the minds of his former subjects. This was partly because of the aforementioned "original, batshit insane Sheogorath is best Sheogorath" mentality, but also because in Skyrim, you see him actually living within the mind of Emperor Pelagias the Mad, who is dead. To me it always seemed that the daedra were less of beings, and more the universal personification of their realms (slightly inspired by the books "Hogfather" and "Mort", by Terry Pratchett), and they couldn't really be done away with unless their realm no longer held influence in the world.

Hey look, I'm still alive! Here's next chapter, I would appreciate feedback, positive or negative.

It's a great story, but I wonder if Sheogorath will take the form of an alicorn or his normal intestine skipping self.

683199 I honestly have no idea.

Oh, I'd also be GREATLY appreciative of anyone who could provide me with some cover art.:raritystarry::rainbowkiss::pinkiehappy::twilightsheepish:

please continue i want to know what will happen

843572 I apologize to you (and everyone else who's looking for more) about this wait, the story is still being continued, but I have over the summer english projects I have to do so I don't get held back.

Here you go everypony, the next chapter:scootangel:, I know it's been a full month and I'm very sorry for that, but I've been trying to get my learner's permit then driving license while spending as much time as possible with my older friends that will be off in college soon, and one in particular who will be in the navy in 6 days.

Another very big reason this took so long is because I had no idea what form Sheogorath would take, even after I decided he would be equine, I still had no clue how to describe him, please tell me how you think I did on that.:unsuresweetie:

I will have the next one in less than 4 weeks though, don't worry.:rainbowdetermined2:

i can only sense disaster cheese and maybe the wabbajack

1019048 5weeks and probably have a color scheme similar to his outfit in oblivion

1239432 I'm sorry...I underestimated school and stuff, I only rarely get to work on it...(a word to writers who aren't taking calculus and physics at an honors level, DON'T DO IT!)

Did someone say damnation?
