Courtier, a young Pegasus living in the Griffon Kingdom, has recently become a Squire of the Sky King. As the only pegasi his age in the Griffin Kingdom, he has to struggle with his role in society, how he fits in, and what he is meant to do.
Normally he doesn't have time to think about these things. But as it is the national Griffon Holiday he has plenty of free time on his hooves. There's just one problem, its also Hearts and Hooves day, and Courtier won't have any pony around to celebrate with, or so he thinks.
Hello everypony! This is a little story I am working on inspired by living in a country that celebrates radically different holidays then the ones you I grew up with. It's turning into something a little more exploitative of pre-show history but thats what you get.
I'm liking the cast and setting so far. It's always interesting to read stories were people remember Sunset used to be Celestia's student. I'll be keeping an eye on this to see where it goes.
The GSP aspects could use work, though ("slight pang of envoy" = "slight pang of envy", "and soon of former Equestrian" = "and son of former Equestrian", "company during are visit" = "company during our visit" are some of the more egregious. Several instances where your and you're are confused). I'd strongly advise finding a good editor or pre-reader in one of the various groups for it. Or at the least give it a judicious re-read yourself before posting.
5624829 Thanks for the comment! I will certainly look for a good pre-reader (had no idea about the groups on here). The GSP stuff is always a problem for me, but Im not sure the editor for my academic work would be willing to read these little attempts I make at creative writing. I normally wouldn't post something unless its read but I don't have any folks to read for me at the moment, no other Bronies in china yet (at least that can be found).
As far as Sunset goes, I think its really interesting to think how much older she might be, and what events lead to her leaving Equestria.
