Okay, I'll throw the first like your way, although that's probably because I had a simmilar idea lately.

Liking and faving, always a plesure to read you're words Angelgrace :)

I did find a error though:
Though 'he' was weakened, she was still able to summon up a burst of magic,

Theres a "he" where a "she" should be present.
Otherwise good job!

Good, I like the whole idea and I thought it was well executed! No real complaints here! Have a fave and a like!

Enchantingly twisted, and quite fun to read. Our portrayals of Chrysalis are similar, and I love it. Competent, calculating Chrysalis is best Chrysalis.

Cheers to royally f***ing up Twilight's perspective (aaaaaand that was a pun. Damn). Great work as always!

two things. The first, there's a 'he' when it should be she. Secondly, Its TOO short. :flutterrage: There's more. If this is in fact a one shot, great job, but continue the story. Please :fluttercry::pinkiesad2: ?

That's the beauty of it: thinking back on the episode and the comic, she wasn't an idiot. She laid her plans and executed them, and both times, it was Dues Ex Machinia that saved our heroes.

Chrysalis is good, she's just unlucky to be on the bad side.

not bad, so when are you going to make a next chapter of Lilith?

*gulp* G-good r-read. *teeth now chattering*
holy celestia, this is a bad situation right here.:fluttershyouch:
um, if you don't mind I am going to:

Ah, don't you just love the feel of a The Villain Wins story?

Well, that just happened.

I want more of this story

5781864 sequel?....please?.....

5790893
5788127

But Twilight is already gone?

5791756 wtf happens after? really dude that's the shittiest excuse for a writer, if you don't want to continue the story don't cock tease us :(

5791765
The point of the story was Twilight; it was a request given to me for a fic where Twilight is put under Chrysalis' control. The story is what you see, hence the "complete"

5791783 b-but i-its and a-awesome i-i-i-IDEAAAAAAAAAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA:raritycry:

5791756 yes but I want to know what she will do now that she is one of them

5791792 Is it better to want more then to wish for it to end?

5808184
It only took me 20000000 years, right?
I'm curious what you think

5808239
It's well written and I as always love this pairing. Your method of induction was clever with the crown and all. And I liked how chrysalis was smart to lull Twilifht into a false sense of security. Only real issue I had was with the ending but THATS just a minor one. Overall very well written 4.4/5

5808250
Let me guess. You didn't think it should have ended there.

SEQUAL!! PLEZ!!

Is there going to be a sequel?

I would love to see a sequel here. What happens with Twily next? Does she go and convince Tia to follow her to the hive and suffer the same fate?

When I first read the description, I thought it would be somewhat reminiscent of Mirror's Image, but I was wrong. So, very wrong.

6251700
I hope you enjoyed. I had the idea in mind for a long time.

6251742
Don't worry; I did.

5787073 Not particularly, no. Here's what happens next.

Chrysalis tries to use Twilight to get to Princess Celestia. Princess Luna, being not brain dead and annoyed that she missed the boat on Chrysalis's last outing has defences set up. As the Princess of Dreams the mind is her speciality. They capture Twilight, Luna uses Twiligt's own restore memories spell plus putting the crown of magic on her with the others using their Elements to feed her friendship, to break her from the hive.

Then they go to town as they have a precise location on the changeling remnant. Celestia declares Exterminatus on them, every changling drone is destroyed, and as is standard punishment for trying to usurp Equestria, Chrysalis is banished to a planetary body. Specifically the sun. She is enchanted with regeneration spells running off the sun's magic so as long as she is within it, she will be immortal and regenerate any harm done to her.

Of course that's not the same as being protected. No, she ends up a living torch burning eternally in the fires of the sun, unable to die, or even scream as her eternally renewed flesh is seared away. As Pinkie would say, Forevveeeeeerrrrr!

Of course that's just my five minute thrown together take. Give me some time and I could probably come up with a far more creative punishment for Chrysalis.

6346007 Ah, so in order for them to win Chrysalis basically has to sit back and do nothing, and the princesses have to be murderous and genocidal, basically a whole of things that aren't practical. I mean, it's not like at the wedding the Royal Guard, even on full alert, got roflstomped by the changelings, and the use of the elements countered. And Chrysalis on the Sun as punishment for trying to conquer? PLEASE. Luna tried to destroy all life on the planet and she only got the moon.

6346317 Actually, that's just me. Chrysalis needed to be destroyed, just as Sombra was. The canon Changlings aren't a race, they're a natural disaster, a plague, and they need to be treated just like Smallpox. Of course that's never going to happen in canon, but I can dream. If you read the comics, banishing them just brought them down on another civilisation, which they utterly destroyed.

I've written a short story where Twilight blames herself for failing to stop Chrysalis earlier, and when it looks like Celestia is going to fall in the beam spam duel against Chrysalis, in a moment of rage she does a Nightmare Moon style charge, but this time she doesn't teleport, she just rams her horn straight into Chrysalis's chest. It releases all the love energy she's stolen and converted to magic power in one burst. Twilight is apparently vaporised by the backblast, aand Chrysalis is crippled, smashed like a bug against a wall and half cooked. She manages to live long enough to give them the epic 'Reasons You Suck' speech.

It was a panacea against the 'Twilight doesn't forgive everyone after the wedding' plot. Not that there aren't some good ones. but I decided that Twilight would be far more likely to blame herself for not explaining better, being smarter about warning everypony. Chrysalis takes over the role of lampshading how they all utterly failed to see her coming, and rather than listen to the one pony who had it right, universally rejected her when Chrysalis cried a few crocodile tears. And how she could feel Twilight's final emotions, that she'd felt loss, lonliness and failure, and a sense of duty towards Celestia felt the only way to make it right was to stop Chrysalis at all costs.

(Twilight isn't dead. She instinctively focussed the power into a teleport spell and was flung far into the Northern Wastes. From there she gets saved and cared for by either the Caribou, who aren't raging jerks in this, or the Yaks, who are. Of course this leads her neatly into discovering the Crystal Empire when it reappears, even before Celestia finds out, and without Celestia sabotaging her by telling her it's a test, manages to defeat Sombra with long lost Crystal magic. Did I mention her horn was crippled by the overload, and she replaces the tip with some Cosmic Spectrum Stone?)

Nice, wouldn't mind seeing more, with them taking over Equestria.

Yeah, no, canon changelings aren't a disease. There's simply to little information about them, only ever Chryssie speaks and she mentions having to feed on love. I don't think one should be punished for what they were born as. Also, the changeling in slice of life, confirmed by the word of God (tweet by Larson) that it's a friend of Matilda's. A clear canon confirmation of changelings not being a plague and inherently evil.

The canonicity of the comics is debatable, but in there changelings are given personalities.

And it's never been confirmed in canon that ponies have any kind magic able to detect changelings in disguise. And Glimmer still has Twilight's memories, she'd be able to play her pay self perfectly. And she's still the element of magic, and even if she's not, even better. The elements are useless now and since there's no indication of Twilight's power decreasing work the change; she now has her previous alicorn level of power plus the ability to increase it exponentially as a changeling by consuming love. And she still knows all her spells. Detected somehow? BOOM teleport!

And worth her having all of her pervious form's memories, she can simply trick her friends one by one, converting them all, then the testy of Ponyville.

The possibilities are endless, but one thing is certain - Equestria is screwed. There's simply to much in the changelings' favour.

I like how you think changing ponies to changelings works, by connecting them to the hive mind, clever I like it it's different. I wouldn't have thought of it but I think its a great theory, until Hasbro gives us an answer.

6801085

The link to the Hive Mind was a result of her being a changeling; she was already one when she broke out of the pod, and the crown she saw was a trap.

In my mind, it's very rare to convert a pony to a changeling, because that's more you need to feed and less food, and would be done really only very rarely, for extremely talented ponies.

6801553
Ohh thanks for clearing that up for me

just out of curiosity, you wrote this before starlight was around right? I take it calling her 'princess glimmer' wasn't related to that at all.

What do you think that Changelings feed on at their feasts?

A sequel to this would be great.

More chapters would be nice.

Well written, but thematically ehhh. Yeahhhhhh… Really not buying that something as simple as joining with a hive mind could break Twilight’s connection to her friends. It’s kind of patently ridiculous. If anything, the Hive would gain those connections. Does not do Twilight, the basic themes of the show, or the interesting premise of the hive mind justice.
