Pensplatter

Hello, I'm Pensplatter. You can call me 'Pen.' I am a writer. I am currently not taking commissions or requests due to a very busy schedule. Please feel free to read and review my work. Enjoy!

The Cutie Mark Crusaders attempt to get their cutie marks as mommies and decide to use Big Macintosh as a practice baby. With the help of the Mane 6, the girls learn about taking care of babies and Big Macintosh learns a few things about himself as well.

Seems like a good start. Not ridiculous fetishism at this point, but that could easily change.
*eyes the Romance tag warily*

Oh, this is going to be super funny... :rainbowlaugh:

I'm glad someone else besides me is enjoying this cute and funny story hehe

Maybe his girlfriend ms. Cheerilee

Everypony seems awfully eager to help the Crusaders... do they all want petty revenge against Mac for something?

Dammit, you made me go on a Wiki Walk in the middle of reading this. I was trying to find the right trope to describe a problem, and, well, TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Life...

5566516
Not really. Everyone's motives have been explicitly stated within the story thus far. Twilight sees it as an educational experience for the CMC, Applejack is just having some fun messing with Big Macintosh, and Rarity adds her own fashionable flair to the situation as usual. Even Granny Smith didn't force Big Macintosh to help the CMC, but instead guilted him into it and he chose to go along with it to please her. Nobody wants 'revenge' on Big Macintosh. Everybody just sees this whole trip as silly, if not funny, venture that the CMC are dragging a rather reluctant Big Macintosh along for.

5566741
Uh, forgive me but I don't quite understand what any of this means. :rainbowhuh:

OMG, can't wait to see how Rainbow reacts to this! It would just be like...
:rainbowderp: ... :rainbowhuh: ... :rainbowlaugh:

SingABrightSong here is referencing the website TVTropes, a website I admittedly frequent too much. TVTropes is a site where users categorize cliches, or "tropes", on pages of different works such as TV shows, movies, video games, etc. I have no idea what Wiki Walk means though. Liking the story so far by the way!

5569845
Hehe, yep. That pretty much sums it up. :rainbowwild:

5578458
Thanks! Apparently, a wiki walk is "randomly following Wikipedia links and reading articles, which ends up wasting a lot of time." Thank goodness for urban dictionary, the internet really is magic.

There are certain tropes for this type of story, and you're playing them brutally straight. Which is not a bad thing.

5598229
Thanks for the comment. If you don't me asking, which tropes do you specifically mean?

Well, it's nice to see that Big Macintosh got to be a role model for The Cake Twins. But what goes in has to come out sooner or later.

5607051
It's been shown that Big Mac liked hanging out with the Cake Twins in the comics. I thought it'd be nice to reference it in the story.

LOL, my best friend who acts as my editor said the same thing when he read about holler-peno peppers. :rainbowlaugh:

5611069 I see. Still, you think they'd be a bit surprised to see such a big baby.

5611137
Nah, babies are constantly defining and redefining things in those first few years. If the twins like Big Mac and see that he is being treated in a similar manner as to how they are, it might not be farfetched for them to lump him into their own category. Besides, with all of Pinkie's shenanigans I'd say the twins are used to occasional forays into the zany and unusual. :pinkiehappy:

I'm loving this! Btw its hooves not hoofs.:eeyup:

5611663
LOL. Thanks. I didn't exactly catch where I put hoofs instead hooves, but my best friend is the one who edits my stories so I'll just blame him for it. :raritywink:

I guess the only thing that needs to happen now, is for Big Macintosh to talk things out with Fluttershy. After she's changed his diaper of course.

This is actually rather sweet. Despite the nature of the premise, everyone is in character(Except for the Crusaders, who have been collectively Flanderized within the show itself) , Fluttershy teaches the CMC a good lesson, and the story is quite in line with the Slice-Of-Life genre.

5624428
Thanks so much. One thing I strive for is to combat the idea the stereotype that fetish content is inherently weaker than other types of work. I'll probably write a blog post later discussing my thoughts on this further. As for the CMC, I am sorry that you considered them flanderized here. Their search for their cutie marks is what was needed to propel the plot forward. I tried to use their thoughts and reactions to the Mane 6's babying of Big Mac as way of keeping from being too one-dimensional in the context of the journey.

How exactly do you consider the CMC flanderized on the show? The introduction of Luna as a guide for Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle in their dreams has introduced a lot of depth to their characters, and Twilight Time showed the girls actively attempting to develop their skills instead of blindly chasing after their cutie marks. :rainbowhuh:

5623038
Hm, it's a possibility. :trollestia:

5625633 Well, what else could possibly be done?

hehehe laughint at how big mac guilt tripped again. harmless fun afterall, well up until actual diaper change then it is embarrassing hehe.

Oh no! Fluttershy has been priming Mac with neurochemicals! Wait a minute... pharmacist Fluttershy with adult foal supplies and furniture... this can only mean one thing... Pattycakes.

5651416

Relax, it's not that kind of fanfic... :rainbowlaugh:

Not a lot left to do, except for Fluttershy and Big Macintosh to talk things out. And for Big Macintosh to head back home.

5635607
Hehe, I don't know. He seemed to like it if you asked me. :raritywink:

5651416
LOL, No. :ajbemused:
I get the reference, but hopefully next chapter will show that it's not that kind of situation. :twistnerd:

5651534
This dude here gets it. Brohoof! :yay: /)

5652408
Are you clairvoyant? :rainbowderp:
LOL, you guessed right last time, so either you're really good at guessing what I'm gonna do next or I'm becoming too predictable. :twilightoops:

5652703 It might just be that there's not really much that can be done.

The ending was enough to bump this up to my favorites. I think you have a really good understanding of the pyschological aspects of being an adult baby. There's more to it then just wearing diapers, it's a way of returning to a time when things were simpler and less stressful.

5755137
Thanks so much. Eeyup, one of the reasons I first wrote this story was that I noticed that there were surprisingly few stories that really delved into the real psychological aspects of infantalism. One of my major goals in writing this was hoping that even a person who did not initially like or know what infantalism is could at least gain a sense of understanding it by the end of the story.

The writing in this story obviously is rather on the simple side and not wholly refined. As a consequence the storytelling is not overly complex, and some minor stylistic mistakes and logical plot holes have snuck in.

However, this story is incredibly excited to tell itself. It is apparent how much vigor and love went into creating this story, and it absolutely shines with clever little details and cute ideas. The reader is immersed into a light, yet distraction-free narrative that is founded upon consistency of viewpoints and themes.

Overall, this story is nice, happy little fun well executed and counts among the outstanding stories in the adult foal section. It is true that these themes aren't often handled in fiction, and require a certain attention to detail and finesse to execute correctly, as is the case in this story. Nice work!

Two personal comments:
There was a question about downvotes. Because of the coarse granularity of the voting system on this website, legitimate negative votes are displayed the same as random downvotes. In the adult foal section, all stories receive some small amount of downvotes at the time of posting, obviously by users who didn't read them. These stories therefore have a tolerance against a small number of negative votes, and this story in particular is doing fine.
The other thing, pony diapers can not have a "tail-hole" through which the tail is "threaded through". That makes no sense. It would be almost impossible to put the diaper on without pain, and it would be certainly impossible to take it off without a mess. Pony diapers should logically have an extra button or pin to be closed and opened above the tail.

heh heh.
:eeyup:: oh shush you.

Would love to see a sequel to this!

interesting first chapter, sugarcube, keep it up ;)

goods should be "good" and mommys should be "mommies" I'm trying not to be a grammar nazi...
