I'm sorry for your loss. My grandfather passed away a little over a month ago and this really describes how the whole family feels.
You never get over the pain, you just make room for it and try to remember the good times.

Very lovely, but I've never understood why people think Twilight is a lesser Alicorn. But anyway, you'll probably never be ready to lose a loved one and being remembered fondly is the best immortality, IMHO.

The worst part of loss is it being almost 8 years later and you still cry when certain things remind you. Or when you realize you put her in the outline of a story. I`m sorry for your loss. Remebering hurts but they never go away as long as you do.

I like it but how did Twilight die?
I like the concept of Spike meeting a dragoness during a migration. I'm currently writing a story where he did the same thing, except they already left Ponyville and have had several clutches of hatchlings. I like Spike. He's one of my favorites. Discord and Fluttershy get tops, though.
Aw... Sad story, but great job. Very well written, it almost perfectly highlights feelings felt when a loved one dies.
