I prefer writing and reading original stuff, with a sinful taste to abnormality, darling. :raritywink:

"They were never really real..."

Rainbow Dash, or Rebecca Dean finds herself in the darkest pitches of clarity to realize that Equestria and that made it exist, were never really real.

(A short Psychological story with some special elements. I never read a fic done with Rainbow Dash realizing Equestria and all the ponies there were never really real. So I may be the first. Enjoy.)

My favorite story, actually, is a bit similar to this. It also contains Rainbow Dash having, let's say, an equestrian self and a real world self. Here's the link if you are interested.

I like a good cliff hanger but this...felt...how you say...empty. I'm not saying it's bad because it's not, but this story needs more. I believed 1k words isn't enough to convey this idea.

5065637 In truth, I had to make it very short. The emotions are picked up through characteristics mentioned and display through imagery. Such as a flawless drawing, represents Rarity's flawless skill to designing clothing, to a more description of throwing in personalities Twilight would have in figuring things out, but ending up with no answer.

I also display a sign of fear which usually Fluttershy would normally feel a lot, which Fluttershy represents Dash's anti-social personality where she is not comfortable around others (via the Doctor) and Applejack's traits comes into play where she is honest to herself; The world of ponies were never real. However, she hated the fact she wanted to go back still, but knew that if she fell for her illusion, she would be delusional.

Pinkie Pie was the hard one, representing the bipolar side of the story where it was clear she was depressed, but most of all angry at the doctor.

Rebecca, or Rainbow Dash, is implied to have disassociative personality disorder, with a lacing of Narcissism. I may edit this, I may not. But in truth, I believe making it as short as possible was the best I could do.

The shortest stories in life, can have the deepest meanings, darling.:raritywink:

That's not the one. It might have only been on EqD.
Basically she wakes up in a hospital, is told she's been hallucinating for a bit, but was 'cured'. Then flickering between the 'real' world and Equestria until the very last line...
When the doctor is a satyr.

5066096 I never liked EqD. I always stood away from that site. I had my water dippings over there, not so pleasant. :facehoof:

I did read it at EqD. Thankfully my Drive remembered reading it way back when.

It was called Abyss, Something's Amiss.
