Chapter 3: Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic

Chapter 3: Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic

Sakura and Syaoran appear in the outer fields of Sweet Apple Acres and look around. "Well on the bright side I don’t think anyone saw us arrive.” Sakura says.

Syaoran nods. ”Looks like we landed in some sort of orchard.”

Sakura looks at the camera in his hands. “I can’t believe you brought that thing.”

“What?” Syaoran asks. “I figured it’d make her happy to think I was going to record something with it.” He opens up his bag and goes to put it in there.

“Wait!” Sakura says and Syaoran looks at her. “I have an idea.” Sakura removes the star key from her neck and chants. “Key of the Star with powers burning bright, reveal the staff and shine your light! Release!” Sakura chants and the necklace changes into the star wand.

“You’ve got to be kidding me?” Syaoran asks.

Sakura pulls out 3 cards from her outfit. “MOVE! Make this camera follow us. THROUGH! Allow this camera to go through objects! ILLUSION! Make the camera invisible. MOVE, THROUGH, and ILLUSION! Release!” The magic of the three cards envelope the camera and it vanishes. The three cards return to her. She reaches up and her hand vanishes for a second. “There, now it will record everything.”

“Brilliant.” Syaoran says. “So now what?”

“I think I see a house over there." Sakura points and the two of them head toward the building. As they get closer they hear voices.

“Hope I'm not causing any problems." a female voice says. “But I was doing some research and felt a massive magic spike."

"It's alright Twilight.” another female with a country twang says. “I needed a break anyway.”

“Tsumari, eigo no yō ni kikoeta” [That sounded like English.] Sakura says and she and Syaoran quietly approach the voices only to see two ponies, one orange and one purple. “Hitobito ga doko ni iru nodarou ka” [I wonder where the people are?] Sakura whispers. At this point the purple pony turns toward them. Sakura gasps, “Yunikōn” [a unicorn.]

“Applejack did you hear something?” the purple unicorn asks.

“I think I heard something over there.” the orange pony, obviously Applejack, answers with a country twang leading Sakura to conclude that the unicorn must be Twilight. Applejack raises one hoof and points in their direction.

“Come on, I know you’re in there!” Twilight says her horn glowing purple.

Sakura and Syaoran look at each other, then remember that they are technically trespassing they come out with their hands up, Sakura still holding her wand “We mean you no harm.” Syaoran says with a heavy chinese accent.

“What in tarnation are they?” Applejack asks.

Twilight sighs. “Humans.” The magic of her horn dissipates. “My name is Princess Twilight Sparkle.”

“I am Syaoran, this is my wife Sakura.” Syaoran says slowly.

Twilight looks at him. “Are you having a hard time with our language?”

Syaoran nods, “Still not all that good in this language.” He turns to Sakura, “Anata no mahō ga watashitachi o tasukeru tame ni nanika o suru koto ga dekiru to omoimasu” [Do you think your magic can do something to help us?]

Sakura ponders for a minute. “Koe?” [Voice?]

“Tameshite miru kachi.” [Worth a try.] He replies with a shrug.

Sakura pulls a card from her clothes. “VOICE! Gengo ga onajidenakereba dete miyou! VOICE release! ” [Voice! Let our languages be the same! Voice, release!] With the final words she touches the star wand to the card and the card turns into a young pink colored girl with long wavy hair and feather-like ears and arms like wings she flies around Sakura and Syaoran then Twilight and Applejack.

“How interesting.” Twilight says as Voice goes back to Sakura and Syaoran and the two of them glow.

“Did it work?” Sakura asks without the hint of an accent.

“I can understand you perfectly.” Twilight says.

“Good,” Sakura grins as Voice returns to card form and the wand returns to it’s normal size.

"How did you do that?” Twilight asks.

“Honestly?” Sakura asks and Twilight nods. “Magic.”

“I am a high level magic user, and I have never seen magic like that.” Twilight says as she moves toward them and Sakura sees her wings.

“You have wings too?"

"Why yes I'm an alicorn princess." Twilight says. “Did you miss that when I introduced myself?”

Syaoran blushes slight. “I fear I misunderstood what you said.”

Sakura and Syaoran quickly bow then in unison. "Please forgive us your highness. “

Twilight looks at the two of them bowing. “Um, exactly what am I supposed to do now?”

Sakura blushes "I suppose your customs are a little different than ours huh?"

"How would a pony bow?" Syaoran asks. “They have 4 legs."

"Oh like this.” Twilight says then bows.

“Let’s not bow to each other." Sakura suggests. “Otherwise me and Syaoran would be on the ground."

Twilight chuckles slightly. “Now let’s get down to business. How did you two get here?"

"Through a gateway opened up by Yue and Kero-chan." Sakura answers. “Yue said that someone in this world sent a distress signal with the power of the moon.“

Twilight gasps, “Luna! We have to get you to Canterlot!”

“Canterlot?” Sakura asks.

“The capital of Equestria, you're currently in Ponyville.“ Twilight answers.

Syaoran chuckles, “Is everything in this world a horse pun?"

Twilight blushes slightly, “Not everything. Just the majority of our cities."

"I see.” Syaoran says.

“Come on let's get on the train, we can talk on the way.“ Twilight suggests.

“You reckon I should get the others?” Applejack asks.

“Might be a good idea. I need to try and get these two to the train station without causing a complete commotion.” Twilight answers.

“I take it you don't have many humans here?” Sakura asks.

“As far as I'm aware there are no other humans in Equestria.“

"If you don't have humans here how do you know what we are?”

“I was a human for a few days.“ Twilight answers, "I will tell you the whole story later.”

Sakura pulls a card from her clothes and already holding her staff in her other hand chants. “ILLUSION! Make the two of us appear as ponies! ILLUSION release!" The magic surrounds them with a bright light, and when it fades Sakura and Syaoran appear as ponies. Sakura a pink unicorn with a brown mane and the star wand as her cutie mark. Syaoran as a green unicorn with a short brown mane and his family crest as his cutie mark.

“You…. you just turned into ponies?” Twilight looks completely shocked.

“No, just our outward appearance changed.” Sakura answers. “I hope we aren’t here long enough to need to CHANGE into ponies.”

“You could do that?” Twilight asks.

“Of course, but I’d have to wait until the next day to CHANGE us back.” Sakura answers.

“That’s just amazing.” Twilight says as they start walking toward the train station.

Sakura and Syaoran look around as they walk. “Nice little town you have here.” Sakura says.

Twilight smiles. “Thank you, we endeavour to make it as hospitable as possible. If you want to you are welcome to stay here as long as you want.”

“Oh Syaoran, do you think we could stay for a while?” Sakura asks as she looks at him with big eyes.

Twilight chuckles. “And you haven’t even met the crusaders yet.”

“Crusaders?” Sakura asks.

“A group of fillies in search of their cutie marks.”

“What’s a cutie mark?”

“The marks on our flanks.” Twilight answers. “Mine represents my talent with magic.”

Sakura and Syaoran both look at their flanks. “I suppose ILLUSION knew we would need them.” Syaoran says.

Sakura nods and they continue on their way when a pink blur zips past them and up to Twilight. “Twilight who are the new ponies?” a bouncing pink pony asks.

“These ponies have business with the Princesses in Canterlot, I’m going to escort them there, I was hoping you girls would come with me.”

“Oh, oh , oh. So you were coming to get me?”

“Applejack was suppose to get all of you. I was heading to the train station.”

“Okie dokie lokie.” the pink pony says then turns to Sakura and Syaoran. “I’m Pinkie Pie, Ponyville’s premier party planner and element of laughter.”

“I’m Syaoran, and this is my wife Sakura.”

Pinkie giggles, “Your names are funny.”

“Pinkie, be nice, they’ve traveled a long way to be here.”

“Oh where are you from?” Pinkie asks.

Sakura hesitates then says. “Kyoato.”

Pinkie gaps. “I’ve got to throw you a big party. Bigger than big,”

“Pinkie, they have business to attend to first.” Twilight states. “Then if they can stay you can throw them a party.” Pinkie nods and the four of them continue to the train and quickly board.

“Hey Twilight.” Applejack says as she comes up with 3 other ponies. A white unicorn, a yellow pegasus and a blue pegasus.

“Alright everypony,” Twilight says. “This is Sakura and Syaoran. This is Rainbow Dash.” the blue pegasus takes to the air. “Fluttershy.” the yellow pegasus waves a forehoof meekly, “and Rarity.”

“Um, hi?” Sakura says.

Nothing major to criticise here although I am uncertain as to some of Kinomoto-sama's lines. First off, if She's referring to the Voice card specifically when She says 'Koe' then She'd actually say 'Voice' because the cards' names are in English. Secondly, unless you're suggesting they moved when reaching adulthood, they'd've come from Tomoeda, close to Tokyo.
