But Twi checked she'd written nicely,
So Twi checked her letter oncely,
And Twi checked her letter twicely,
Yes Twi checked her letter thricely,
But Twi checked herself at fourcely,
So Twi checked the "uncheck" button,
And Twi checked she'd written horsely.

Yes, this story is called Chapter 1. It was a non-eligible entry (because I was the judge!) in the January 2022 Flashfic 150 contest. The prompt was "Break the Rules!"

Being honest, I either didn't know or had forgotten the word "quarce". Thank you for enlightening me, and I may have to use the word in something at some point!
