"...what did I just even read." - Wintermist || "Pour la beauté du geste" || ooo || π

Sequels1

After Luna had written to her about how she wouldn't be able to make it to Ponyville for Nightmare Night, Twilight decided to organize a small camping trip to the outskirts of the Everfree Forest with her friends. She'd initially planned to have Trixie come along and entertain them with a small show, but unfortunately the unicorn had declined the offer, saying that she had something else to do.

So, since it was, after all, Nightmare Night, Twilight decided that the best thing to do to pass the time would be to tell scary stories to each other around the fire. She was not expecting her friends to each have such a diverse concept of what "scary" means.

Great story I must know the story that Starlight tells because what was terrifying enoug to make Chrysalis fly away

Of course Starlight has all the really scary stories. I love when she shows her more sociopathic side.

Darn it, Starlight, you went and made it weird.

Very Twilight Zone. Rod Serling would approve.

Again, very Twilight Zone. Much better than some gore-fest for playing with the mind.

"Starlight," Twilight said, putting a hoof over the unicorn's shoulder, "we need to talk."

:twilightoops:

She was not expecting her friends to each have such a diverse concept of what "scary" means.

And here we see the Mrs 'traumatised murderer' Glimmer end of the spectrum.

What's a subnet teleporter?

That actually could have been scary, if you were the librarian. I would have been.

I'd be scared if I had to wear that dress.

I was so sure that was Rainbow Dash's story. I even read it in her voice.

Fingers, though. That's so Pinkie.

Ponies drowning in sand? That sounds like quick sand to me, which could certainly be scary.

That would be scary too. As much as I love karate, if I was stuck doing it forever non-stop, I don't think I'd like it very much anymore.

I must know that story. It sounds like it must be scary.

Starlight;: HEY! WHERE'D MY TENT GO? I PUT MY KITES IN THERE!

~Two Hours Later ~

Twilight: There's just something so disconcerting about flying a kite at night.
Starlight: Oh hey Twilight! Wanna fly a kite wit-
Twilight: AHH!

...The f*yay*k's a subnet teleporter?

In Soviet Russia, snacks eat you.

Sociopathic Starlight is best Glim-Glam.

If course sand is scary. It course abs rough, and it gets everywhere.

oh shoot. this is actually scary. nice :)
:raritywink:

Twilight's idea of scary would be a library that continuously puts itself out of order :twilightblush:

And they say Chrysalis is still coughing up kites to this day.

(Hmmm, I think this one is the closest to actually scary that we've had so far. Closest, it doesn't hit ti because she focuses more on the fact you can't grow anything on the soil, rather than the life-draining curse, and/or the possibility of drowning in sand. She touched on it, didn't go further down that route, which would have been preferable.

Still, a good solid start and the makings of a good middle, she just finished too quickly. The best one so far.)

(Hmmm, good. However it ends a bit too quickly. A bit more mounting desperation, a bit more focus on how it broke his mind, and maybe a mention of time passing but not growing hungry, being tired but not being able to stop flying, etcetera. But it is a disturbing concept, and while close to her heart, Rainbow Dash does end it with something that would be scary to anyone, being eternally trapped. So good.)

(Awww... funny ending, however got to admit, a little sad we didn't get Starlight's story.)

The cookie that eats ponies. Nice

I like how its still scary, books regardless. Shit moving on its own is spook. I'd be fucking done if the books blatantly rearranged themselves after careful replacement and watching them for a night.

Its hard to tell if the dress is doing this on purpose(it changed to be the abandoned trends), or it's working as intended.

I mean, its meant to meld fabrics. It could not meld fabrics, as it was itself the fabric, so it tried melding skin, and it can't make skin fabric, so the enchantment whent haywire?

I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough. It gets everywhere. ~Darth Vader
"Darth Vader didn't say that!"
Did I stutter?

I'd be terrified if I couldn't get out a piece of clothing. That'd cause so many health complications

Those five stumpy legs, that headless body that seemed to float more than walk, the impossibly long and large tail stretching beyond his ability to see.

Oooooh! A hand and arm, lol

Maybe I'll read Rainbow Dash's story tomorrow.
Man, AJ really had a good setup but it fell so flat. Forget those kids, scare everypony on Nightnare Night! It seemed so promising....

Starlight's tent was also staring at the unicorn with her large green eyes, her mouth opened in disbelief, although the only ones who could have seen that she was Chrysalis in disguise were in a state of shock too deep to notice.

Lololololololol. That tent part disturbed me a bit til you said it was Chrysalis.

Ah.
A Subnet Teleporter. Neat.

He said nodding his head like he knew what that means.

Oh sand is horrid.
Can be hot af too.

Pffft, Twilight you sweet bean. ❤

Fluttershy wins for the scariest story. No arguments. 💜💜💜💜💜

Applejack you had such a great idea, but it went THHHHHHHPT. XD

Thank you Rainbow! Much scarier! Not quite as terrifying as Fluttershy's, but pretty dang close.

....
It just needs to be 20 percent scarier. :rainbowlaugh:

*Wheeze* Chrysalis! XD
