I love the way you subverted that 'Evil voice in my head makes me do evil things' trope. It's sort of stale these days, and it's rather nice to see a main character who not only recognized what was happening and was able to deal with it, but also managed to have great reasons for doing so!

And personally, I've been looking for a decent villain fic for a while!

Huh.... Well he has an interesting perspective of evil. However in a way both are right. I don't know why, but the Overlord and Don's discussion this chapter. Is kinda how I would imagine a conversation between Tirek and Sombra going... Tirek being all about destroying all in his way of world domination. While I feel like Sombra would try to either manipulate, and or corrupt all who stand against. So he could add them to his army. However even Tirek knew how to use manipulation when he was weak. So to some this up the old Overlord was and still is fucking stupid.
