An alternate end to the Season Four Finale, taking into consideration some details that came to my mind and weaving a short story from them. Also, my first serious (and successful) attempt at a one-shot.
Twilight Sparkle decides to give the villain Tirek all alicorn magic in exchange for her friends. Naturally, this doesn't include Discord. After all, Celestia told her he was a traitor and helped Tirek steal all the magic in Equestria. Discord feels betrayed. Twilight as well. So does Tirek.
Nothing good can come out of this.

All in all this was an excellent one shot, I can totally see Discord doing this. A- on the fic. Some one or two grammar baubles but nothing bad.

I highly enjoyed this story, and i'm interested to see where it would go if it was expanded.
I would actually like to see this expanded upon. But even if you don't this was good. Although I think you meant to say bunker instead of banker in your authors notes.

Oooooh! You know how awesome this would have been if this actually happened on the show? Hahaha, then we'd have a cliffhanger on our hands until the beginning of next season. The moral would be.... "Even friends make mistakes, Discord. You can't expect the world out of them when you betray their trust like that." But until then, Pinkie will be enjoying the weather.

I´ll admit it; this is the ending I wanted. Well, partially. Add a happy ending and Discord defending Fluttershy and it would be ideal. However, I find really dumb that Discord gave Tirek his magic. I mean, he is a master trickster and the Spirit of Chaos for goodness sake, he couldn´t have fallen so easily. However, the official ending was quite good and I am satisfied. On the other hand, I like this fanfic as an alternative route to a difficult situation. You´ll have my upvote, but this isn´t one of the best I´ve read.

It is failing a friendship test in a way quite similar to the way "going to the ends of the world for someone who burdens you with his allegedly sick self and thereby possibly purposefully ruins your plans for a wonderful day with your dear sister-in-law" is passing one.
Take note that whatever logic you may use, it may not be the same logic Discord, the mad Lord of Chaos, employs.
