Hmm, I wonder who seal Quill's memories? Maybe Celestia? Spike will probably won't be happy about seeing it but since he's over Rarity for the most part it probably won't be to bad. He' probably be wondering why Rarity gave it away after all this time and why she couldn't give it to him herself.
FINALLY!!!!
All significant characters are going to learn the truth about the Fire Ruby and why Spike is the way he is currently---well psyche-side anyways.
I do hope that he is finally able to get the blessing of love for another, and not the artificial love torture that Rarity unknowingly put Spike in. (Going off topic, this just confirms what I suspected at least 14 chapters ago when Frost arrived, and that is Quill already knew that she was attracted to females, meaning that she was a fillyfooler/lesbian in her heart, it just was her meeting Frost for the first time just confirmed it to her). And I do hope that when all the others learn of the story behind that Fire Ruby, that they will sympathize with Spike and continue to help him strengthen his body and mind.
And as an aside, I would love for a scene where Spike gives the Fire Ruby to Cyclone with all present. Yes, it is a symbol of broken dreams, unfilled desires, particularly because Spike originally gave Rarity his heart symbolically and Rarity frankly shattered his heart to pieces, and because of that mare, his heart is still so broken that he couldn't even see himself possibly with another currently. I do believe however, that this time when he gives that Fire Ruby to someone that he likes again, this time, the mare/dragoness/female [Spike's decidedly straight, so no colt cuddling with him here] sincerely has feels for him and is willing to return the feelings that Spike obviously has for that female.
......How ironic....Rarity didn't even give Spike the time of day, now where there is a point that more than likely Spike will leave her life forever, Rarity either realizes how much she had taken advantage of his feelings, or possibly realize that she does love Spike, and not in a little brother sense. My guess is that both have come to her at the same time. And you know what, I truly think that for the fashionista, the writing was on the wall when she ran into Spike and Cyclone glomping on Spike's arm. Hell, the way that Cy was holding Spike tightly while Spike talked with Rarity was a more vibrant and damning picture than the actual conversation. I don't know about any of you, but in my eyes, Cy's eyes staring at Rarity were saying something to the point of " I can't even believe that you are the one female that caused Spikey so much pain and heartache. You weren't too good for his sake, it more than likely that he's way too good for a whining cunt like you."
That goodbye is not good enough for me......I want a actual scene with the Mane 6 and Spike. I don't like the current scene because Spike is not there. I just feel that Spike needed to be there, and he's absent.
5113567 I'll address your last point first. The reason Spike wasn't there for this goodbye with the main six is that he had already come to peace with the fact that they were no longer a major part of his life by himself. He had the capacity to come to terms with that by himself with little outside help. Quill however, need the actual meeting to truly come to terms with it, not only because she is a more material person who needs the tangible experience, but also because she wan't just trying to get over the fact that they were no longer what her life revolved around. Quill was also angry at the mane six for lieing to her, dictating her life, and not even realizing what they were doing.
Also, Quill mentions several times in the story that she had always been interested in females, and simply hadn't decided between males, females, or both. He time with Frost did help her decision with that though.
I don't think Rarity has any true feelings for Spike, the scene when she accosts Spike & Cyclone feels more like the powerplay of a broken person grasping at straws than any revelation of true feeling.
