The ship is a little... OverUsed, i mean, i love the OctaScratch/VinylAvia ship, but almost nopony is creating something new, always the same, always Vinyl screwing it up, and trying to do something to fix it. Why can't you ponies do something more original? That's why i love Fangs, is the only OctaScratch fic that is something more than original.
Yea, I am Octavia is a great video, but you have something that diferences us, whit others species, the Imagination.

I'm not sure what you were expecting out of this fic, but it is clearly stated in the description that the narrative is taken from I Am Octavia. If you knew that this was not doing to be 100% original, why did you read it?
I obviously has to "copy" parts of the video considering it was incorporating the narrative of the video. I'm pretty sure only 15% of the story contains dialogue from the original. You gotta give me some leeway.

I literally got an account on here to tell you how wonderful your story is to me.
The video "I am Octavia" is what got me into shipping these lovely mares. It was brilliantly told and the song was extremely high quality, especially for a fan made song. I enjoy every part of it. But I had always wanted to know what came afterwards. When I found this, I about lost it. The story means so much to me and I am so glad it meant enough to you that you decided to continue it.
Don't listen to people saying 'be more original'. You ARE being original. Yes you copped the dialog but you had thought process and more actions around it. Like Vinyl's thought process during the phone conversation. YOU added that, we don't pull all of that from the video. I always love fanfictions that take a video or story and do it from a different view or expand on it. However, I always hate it when they literally write what we can just watch down to read. That is boring. You didn't do that. You kept it interesting and it had enough similarity to be nostalgic and plenty of difference to be it's own. Especially the end. That was obviously all you.
Fantastic job keeping their personalities the same as shown in the video. I can picture Vinyl breaking down outside Octavia's door. I LOVED the surprise of her looking for the 'gift'. Very sweet. All of it was sweet.
