This was nice, good start. Chuck's DT and Scoot r63 story is probably the only other fic with a M/M theme I can really compare the two with, but I'm not sure what to think of this one though. I'll give it a like though. It had some cute bonding moments and acceptances.
Personally I'd ask someone like Isseus or Chuck Finley for more advice on flow. I think the pacing was probably too slow for my tastes. But I don't think some scenes would be as attachable emotion wise if they were shortened, especially during getting Silver to accept Diamond part before the talks of how much Silver KNOWS about the pain and the rewards that come after as if he had first hoof experience before.
I'm on the fence on this one, but for the most part I'm leaning towards a like. Not sure if fav yet.

Nothing really wrong with it, story was rather cute. Worth a read since it doesn't read like just a flat out bang fic. In fact, might just favorite since it felt more genuine.

M/M was highlighted in red for Solaris' sake! Also, glad you liked the fic. I write these because there needs to be more like them. You know we need more good clop when half the stuff in the "clopfic" section hurts your eyes upon viewing. Anywhos, good to know that somepony will actually read a fic without a cover image. I couldn't find any R63 Diamond or Silver Spoon anywhere. Well... I found some. None of it was good though.

I was more sarcastically pointing that out and putting forth that there is no difference to me between what sex one prefers mating with or if one or more have both. Not sure if you were agreeing with me on an exasperated level seeing someone actually ASK if it was M/M, but I just wanted to clarify since inflections don't carry over well on plain text.
I sooner judge a story on it's ability to make me feel what the characters are feeling before minor tidbits. Something this story was able to give, as you said this site is riddled with lazy narratives and flat characterizations like the only thing that matters is how many words you can use for an anus or vagina.
At least you switched it around when it made sense, making a sentence sound better. But far as the "on the fence" part goes, it mainly stemmed from some of those minor details that don't add to a scene and serve more to distract.
In any case, you did a fine job with this story. And, while I'll admit, stories without a cover are usually skipped, it normally ends up being because the description was lacking any real hooks.
I feel your pain on the coverart issue though, sadly I'm not good enough yet nor have a pen tablet to draw with for that matter, to make any decent cover art. Many stories really do get completely overlooked if they have no cover art. That much is quite saddening. I myself am guilty of that, but short of it carrying one of the 5 tags I follow for stories, none actually being the mane 6 or CMC, many tend to be ignored. A person can only read so many stories in one given day.
Doesn't hurt that once you get attached to a story, much like ones with a Hiatus tag, you tend to move on. I faved on the chance this would update eventually. I feel its got a lot of worth to it.

Another fan of cross-dressing I see! I could definetely do that. Say, while I'm here, I may as well pitch an idea to you. I was thinking about doing a fic with R63 Scootaloo and Butterscotch, except Scootaroll decides to move in with him, having nowhere else to go. Butterscotch is a bit tight on funds himself, and since Scootaroll has no money, he gives him he honoured duty of tending to the an estranged deer. Except the yearling is in heat, and Butterscotch is encouraging him to be the ill buck's mare.
Or, perhaps this idea. Dusk Shine decides, in the name of science, to do a test study in mental regression. In order to get proper test results and promote 'naturalistic observation', he convinces Scootaroll to be his friends' 'pet' for the duration of the experiment. The CMC have to treat him as they would any other cat all day, and then write down the results. Things, of course, go awry when Scootaroll's friends get better ideas for how to enjoy his vulnerable mental state.
That's what I got, please pick which one is better!
All in all, this was pretty great. The descriptions were as close as prose can get to poetry. They really made me feel the emotions that they I tended, a trait that too few clopfics can claim. They just focus on the sex.
I would have liked to have seen a lot more ... progression, for want of a better term, in the characters. I know its just a clopfic, but they don't go anywhere emotionally overall. They start out wanting to fuck, then do so. The only emotional conflict is brooching the issue to each other, an oportuniy for awkwardness that I felt was squandered.
Both characters talked like robots. I know they were supposed to be stereotypical, posh, rich kids, but they spoke more like a couple of fifteenth century nobles in a purple prose contest.
Also, there were a couple of grammar issues, mainly commas and post dialogue capitalization, but they didn't really detach from the story too much.
(Sorry about that premature post, kindle issues)
In total, it was well worth the read, which is praise rarely given to something I found in the new box.

Yeah, this isn't how a first-person perspective is supposed to work. You have Silver Spades randomly dip into Diamond's thoughts in a way that would be perfectly natural if this was a third-person omniscient perspective, but it's not. Actually, it's a third-person omniscient mostly following Silver, but with first-person pronouns.
Now, that's not to say I dislike this. On the contrary, it's going in my favorites. But it was a bit distracting when Silver would suddenly tell us what Diamond was thinking.
Also, this might be irrelevant in this AU, but the Rich family is anything but nouveau riche. Their fortune was built on the buying and selling of zap apple jam in the founding days of Ponyville, and they've been going strong ever since. But I don't know how closely you intended for this AU to match the original, so this could be intentional for all I know.
Once again, I do actually like this story. Even if it doesn't show very well.
