but when he couldn't be on DS9 there was no where he'd rather be then on the Defiant with the rest of his crew.

Well there is one place.... His fathers Kitchen on earth.

I personally don't have a particular desire to die yet sir."

Nailed it! well done, sounds exactly like Garak

"Captain Sisko." science officer , Jadzia Dax said

Jadzia!!!!!! FTW!

For Jadzia was a trill with a symbiont lifeform in her that has had several other human host in the past and their memories.

Um... you might want to fix that..... Symbionts don't have human hosts, just Trill hosts.

Dude: You have two glaring spelling mistakes and a missing question mark on the description alone!
I'm not even opening this story.

simulating the battle the Alamo

battle at the Alamo, or battle of the Alamo?

"I don't think will have a choice in the matter, they ship hit our fuel rods, we either land or crash their."

Read this, It came out funny in my head.

Twilight looked up at the sky in fear as he mouth was slightly opened at a loss for words, the only thing she could say was, "Is that....a giant ball of fire!"

same with this one, noting the "sky in fear as he mouth was slightly"

"Spike I know it's late, but I need you go get our friends at once, it's a emergency, a giant fall ball fell into the Everefree forest. "

Fall ball? fire ball?

Ok, so I finished the first chapter, and well done. I did note some grammar errors, but the ones that stood out to me the most I have already pointed out. Also there seemed to be some technical errors to consistency with the DS9 series, but I am not so sure since I have not watched it in a long while.

My thoughts on what you have so far in completely awesome and I look forward to more. Keep up the good work Jidbrony! keep up the good work.

My regards

Lighten up man, just lighten up.

If people were always this critical then the world would be long dead.

3727476 Thank you my friend I will make the necessary corrections. Also in terms of continuity this takes place after Season 6 episode Waltz. But I will have to make some changes to the Deep Space Nine timeline after that for story reasons.

Miles O'Brien the Irish American engineer who was once chief Engineer on the USS Enterprise...

O'Brien was the Transporter Chief on the Enterprise.

As for the Defiant herself it was one of the fastest ships in the Federation Fleet

The Defiant could barely make warp 9.5. [Enterprise-D had a max cruise speed of warp 9.6 and Voyager could go sustain warp 9.995]

the ship hit our fuel rods,

I recommend you visit this site

3727669 Thanks for the info I was never good techno babble, also will fix that O'Brien bio

Don't worry, as an engineering student I am fluent in technobabble.

I'm not complaining about subtle spelling mistakes, or typical auto-correct mistakes (too-to-two-tow, toot-tooth, front-font-ford-Ford, moor-mourn-mount, etcetera), or his narrative tone being flat: in many such cases we have people who are ESL students and are honestly doing their best. I'm complaining that he apparently typed and then pressed 'send' without even rising his eyes and looking for something as obvious as him misspelling "Klingon" and "Quadrant", and the missing question mark in the last sentence.
Nowadays, even if you don't have Word, you do have free text processing software (OpenOffice.Org being particularly popular, even if I don't personally like it), and even working live from your browser lets you use live spell-checking features (which I've seen in at least Firefox and Safari).
Thus, if you nowadays have glaring mistakes, then you are just lazy and contemptible.

3727734 Well I understand about the spelling even I have to admit you are not the first nor the last person who will comment on it. I take no offense. :scootangel:

As for my narrative well to be honest this is the first Deep Space Nine/ My Little Pony crossover I've ever done, not to mention that fact I don't have many examples of Ds9/ MLP crossovers to draw from. In fact I think this might be the only one on the sight unless I just haven't been looking hard enough. As you know Deep Space Nine is a entirely different beast compared to its other Trek counterparts.

If you have any suggestion I'll gladly consider them

Uhm... fuel rods? Ships in 'Trek don't use fuel rods... they use a Matter/Antimatter reaction channeled thru (in the case of the Defiant's Type 11 warp core) 8 separate streams that intersect in the dilithium crystal matrix, which allows them to control the power output of the core. If that had taken a direct hit... well, simply put, the ship wouldn't be there anymore... and neither would anything within a pretty large radius, as the Defiant had one of the most overpowered warp cores of Starfleet for a ship her size (only the Sovereign and Prometheus had more powerful cores)

Also, the Defiant is nowhere near the fastest ship in the fleet; in fact, compared to most modern ships, such as the Akira, Sovereign, and especially Intrepid and Sabre class, she is quite slow.

As for the battle, do keep in mind that the Defiant is a purpose-built pocket battleship. She is bristling with high intensity weapons, powerful shield generators, and robust ablative armor; please please PLEASE make it take more than two or three hits to down the poor gal!

Pretty good start

"No, of course I don't know anything about this. Every time anything even slightly chaotic happens, everypony comes running to blame *me*. It's become boringly predictable... wait, did you say Captain *Sisko*?... Yes, actually, I have met him. Don't fight him in a boxing match, that's my only advice."

3750165 Oh....I like that. Hmm...Maybe I should consider round two. :pinkiehappy:

Please tell garak will say his best ... there's hope for you yet to someone (example)

plus id love to see a duel of the dressmakers

3750401 cool & thank you plus I meant to say somepony... somepony to catch his fancy that is

The Everfree forest, one of the most dangerous places in all of Equestria, most did not dare travel threw these woods willingly or with good reason,

Threw should be through.

Rainbowdash should be Rainbow Dash

"It sounds mostly scary to me." Fluttershy said her hoofs starting

>hooves<.

Everyone else agreed as the six ponies and one baby dragon began to descend into the darkness that was the Everfree forest. For a mew miles they traveled following

>Few miles<

Twilight covered he eyes from the smoke but it was still blinding her vision.

>her<

"Um..hello." she whispered, hoping were a warm response. She only received silence.

>Hoping "for" a warm response<

There are many more, but I am out of time.... Say, if you need an editor, my skills are a little more advanced now, I can help.

so is this story dead?

"The only other route to Vulcan is if we bypass a small unexplored planet near the horsefield nebula." Jadzia Dax said checking the maps on the screen for the safest route as to avoid any Dominion ships.

the "Horse-Field Nebula"?
