Another awesome chapter from the great Path_of_cloud. 7 mares and a gryphoness? Spike is gonna get seriously laid in this story.
It's finally here, and it's off to an amazing start! Well worth the wait Cloud, this is going to be one hell of a ride I can already tell. Looking forward to the next installment.

Okay, I admit, at first I was unsure about the idea of Spike being compelled by his nature to seek out more mares for his hoard, and the way Celestia explained it to him. Like Spike himself said, it felt a little too wish fulfillment in concept. However, the way you've presented it here, with him having to earn their love and devotion - especially with how Applejack presented her and RD's hurdle and with Fluttershy's fear of full grown dragons possibly coming to the fore as she learns about the more primal behaviors - it's going to be a long, hard, enjoyable...read. ...what did you think I was going to say?
And is it odd I can see the conversation between Twilight and Pinkie going thusly?

I don't think this can possibly end well.
The logistics of a successful harem are nightmarish at best, and a failed harem is just awkward.
Of course that's trying to apply reality to a fictional story about anthropomorphic ponies (Pinkie Pie looks especially cute).

I feel like this a derailed train and you'd better hang on tight through the nerve-wracking sound of screeching metal to avoid getting thrown off.
This may stem from my bad (or at least unsatisfying in a sense other than comedy) experience concerning both Spike fics and Harem fics in general here...
But I think the coverart is worth holding onto my hat and peeking inside anyway, huzzah.
You know what would be really cool to see? If one of them said... "No."
I mean, admit it, these harem stories are a dime a dozen, and they all have the same plot: convince your best friends to bone you. They always end the same way: massive Mane Six orgy. I realize that this is a clopfic, so the point is for sexy times, but from a thematic standpoint, it'd be really interesting to see one of them turn down the offer because, well... "I'm not bisexual," or, "I just don;t love you guys like that." Having them fail in their mission would be very cool to see. If for nothing else, it'd be a new and fresh take on a stale formula.

they both are sequels in the series this one takes place right after weekend, while conquest say in the description it takes place year later after weekend that's why it went on hiatus so he could do this one first since it take place before hand, because if you notice in the chapter it mentions about his hoard but is not specific who was in it just that rarity has already shared spike. plus since conquest features the cmc we'll probably need to know how RD and applejack join before he adds more since it was both rarity and sweetie belle, so i hazard it a guess it'll feature the other two's idol/ big sister to help
