It is the year of 1975. Melody, a young human girl, always wanted to better understand the night sky and the secrets it held. Studying in order to become an astrologist, she travels the globe to observe the different constellations and views of the people who live under them. On the night of a meteor shower in Cairo, Egypt, she wishes upon a shooting star, asking to be led to a place of great night skies no human has ever seen. However, as the saying goes; "Be careful what you wish for."
Melody awakens the next morning to find herself as an alicorn filly with no memory of who she is or once was in Canterlot nearly 40 years before the time of Twilight and her friends. She is discovered by Princess Celestia and taken under her wings. Will Melody ever regain her memories, or is she doomed to be forever in the dark?

I do like the way this is setting up, though I'm not entirely sure turning the poor girl into an alicorn was the wisest thing to do. Still, I'm willing to be shown.

3633842 Well, in the story, she wished to see a night sky no human has set eyes on. I kinda couldn't figure out a story involving a human in Equestria, so I decided it to be best if she became an equine herself

Oh, absolutely an equine. I just wonder if it's advisable to stick the poor pony with all the alicorn powers right off the bat. But then, I'm not the one writing this, so I of course yield to your own sense of things, which may well be better than mine.

Good concept, my one problem with it is that is seems to be moving too fast. Otherwise everything is good. Just, slow down a bit.
