The Warmth of the Hearth

[Written for Villains of Equestria's Christmas contest]

Trixie has never really had a Christmas with somepony else. Not since her childhood. She can still feel the heat of her old fireplace giving her warm feelings through the night. But tonight, she is penniless and cold. Will anypony invite her in?

That ending was pretty heavy. I'm going to have to read this to my cousins before Christmas.

Very sweet story. Heartwarming.

I will have to point out two major errors, though. This is MLP, and as such, there are certain facts that are different. First, they don't celebrate Christmas. They celebrate Hearth's Warming Eve. From the relevant episode, it's fair to assume that most traditions are just the same. You could probably just swap out the word 'Christmas' and it'd be fine. It's a minor detail, but they have their own established traditions for a reason.

Second:

The other journeyers of Equestria were probably at home, talking with their families and enjoying a large turkey.

Ponies don't exactly eat meat in this universe.

That was a fine story you wrote there. Nothing with sex, gore, or cursing. Short and sweet. I loved the ending, it made me feel so warm inside.

3688999 Thank you, I'm glad you like it. Yes, I tend to abstain from sex and cursing (those two especially), and I've tried a couple times to write a good gore fic, but have failed.. My mind is too innocent.
