The Draft

When a vortex nearly demolishes their house, Twilight and Spike are faced with a mysterious looking piece of advanced machinery. Wondering what secrets may lie inside this device, they both begin to investigate it. What they don't realize is that there is one secret in particular that will leave them full of questions.

Whoa, that was good. I think, all things considered, this might count as a modern cosmic horror story. It has that Weird Fiction vibe to it, which I love, and the ending was both humorous and creepy at the same time. I wasn't sure what this story would be like when I started reading, but I did not expect that. Well done.

The Draft got rejected by the Royal Guard. :(
I guess it was too "out of the ordinary". The reason why I wrote it was because I wanted to take a strange concept that you wouldn't expect to be good, and try to write it in the best way possible. I guess I need to work on the coherency a bit more.
