As usual he did not disappoint in the least, makes me kinda jealous to read someone so good at the art of literary manipulation but it also instills a need to write within myself. Maybe I just don't understand the role of sex in this story yet; it wasn't all that sexy (at least for me), so maybe you're trying to do something else with it. Huh. I dunno.

I mean the whole chapter was a tease with a release at the end 
But I still love your writing and I thought you meshed cute and smut well just in this chapter

I'm... Actaully, genuinly suprised Twilight thinks through things like interaction with Dash... Even when she's sort of not thinking at all. She considers the encounter as the rape, if one would remove her attempts to... soothe the idea for herself. But she's not weak-willed enough to just give in without trusting her partner. And there is no trust with the judgement like that.
Sexy things aside, this is weird. Not what I expected, honestly.

I believe that this is Pre-Princess Twi.
I don't think the poem is about death.
I mean, the first three lines are really just dark and depressing, to set up the tone and emotion of the poet.
But, the last two lines are what change the death interpretation.
“In the dark I hear a call, calling me there.”- This could be taken to mean that someone is calling the poet towards the end of the darkness, which could mean either death or depression.
“I will go there, and back again.”- This drives the depression interpretation to be my interpretation. You don't "come back" from death, but you can be called out by a willing person, or pony, and then led through depression into happiness again.
So, I don't think the poem is about death so much as it is about sadness. Could this be caused by a death? Absolutely, but that does not make the poem about death, rather, it makes it about the effects of a traumatic incident of someone's life.

Look, before it gets too convoluted in a summary I'm just going to TL;DR it and say "One theory is that Twilight wrote it to cope with Rainbow Dash being dead but, being the immortal alicorn of friendship itself, can't deal with it and blanked a friend's death from her mind.

Okay... wow... yeah, that just happened. Um... what can I say that's not a spoiler? Well, starting, I've never "added" tags to a story. The only time I have is to make clear the timeline or universe they are partaking in. The mood, in this case fluff, does not lead into sadness.
Personally, I believe almost devotionally to the idea that to make something great you must show what is worse. In this case, I can't have Twi and RD meet in a dream, cuddle, than wake up. There has to be something happening to make the cuddling MATTER!
Okay, small spoiler, this takes place during season 3, sometime. No pony you know is dead. Roll with it.
3629307 Well that's good to know. I was dead certain for a minute there that Twilight was dead and we were getting a story from the point of view of a figment of Dash's dreams representing a part of her mind that hadn't yet accepted Twi's death. That would have been sad. I'm sad now. Dammit.
