When writing a story of considerable length, writers often come up with dozens of ideas that don't make it into their original story.

The following stories are such ideas that I had for Cry for Eternity that didn't make the cut for one reason or another, but were too good to just throw away.

Enjoy.

“If you don’t mind that is.” SAID LUNA TO FLUTTERSHY
Turnabout is fair play

Side stories?

Yes please!

~Skeeter The Lurker

While I initially disapproved of splitting up the story, I like this better than inserting new chapters in between old ones.

(Like some authors who shall not be named but are also working on Alicorn Twilight)

Maybe this is the moment when Fluttershy stopped seeing Luna as Nightmare Moon or the unapproachable, awesome Goddess of the Moon but as a very real, mortal pony with the same weaknesses of the heart as any other - a friend who needs her, in other words.

Pinkie Pie is as much a force of nature as an alicorn, isn't she?

Methinks Fluttershy has a tiny crush on Luna.
...I may be completely wrong though.

My cover pic makes me proud :P. I'll find a moment to read this.

That would make things awkward.

Especially if Cry for Eternity is the one where Twilight inherits Celestia's role and is getting crushed on by Luna. I forget, I think there were two of these.

Daw. This was really sweet!

Ermergrhd the title artwork makes me hurt from cuteness.

Pinkie Pie is as much a force of nature as an alicorn, isn't she?

All hail Alicorn Princess Pinkie!!:pinkiehappy:

3457481 yes, CfE's the one where Celestia kicks the bucket, and Twilight's the only one capable of fitting the role.

Then was it the one where Luna's crushing on oblivious Twilight?

Awwwwww
So much love for lulu XD
She rocks

This makes three of your stories favorited, asylum. +1 follower(s) get.

Yesir. The very same.

Edit- Though, i believe romanticallyoblivious!Twilight happens far more often than it should. As scholarly as she is, she's had to have read a 'few' books on romance, if for no other reason than to 'read the signs' as it were.

3470532 While I can see the validity to that, the counter argument could also probably be had: She has paid so much attention to her studies of non-equinological nature that she may not have it there. Granted, she was reading plenty of non-helpful books if we consider the tale of The Mare in the Moon in the first episode.

Other reason is simply because some of us are that oblivious. I say us, because I wouldn't be surprised if I was included in that group. I might see it as awkward, but I might not understand why it was awkward

You raise a very good point. If the reason obliviousness is given, its realistic in her position and I can accept it so long as its not the sole reason. Chalk it up to her scientifically biased mind, too! If nothing else, Cadence probably taught her something as she grew up.

3581674 True, although then we get into another point - the different types of love. Maybe Twilight expects to be smacked over the head with love, or maybe she's just more knowledgeable about the more general types of love, such as that which you share with your friends. Although honestly, most of the time people just have the obliviousness because that's probably the biggest way to draw it out, and then they have to decide which pony is oblivious

How did I not know these were here?

More to read! Wooot!!!:raritystarry:

you can call these side stories all you like they belong in the main story IMHO

Eh... that sounds like okay reasoning for a typical relationship, but for one that will last thousands of years? If this truly is Twilight's reasoning, this could turn ugly in a few centuries...

6071198 It should be fine permanently if mares are an "acquired taste" for Twilight. If not, I would expect the issue to surface before centuries pass.

Possibly true. Either way, this will probably end up being "Wuv, twoo wuv" in the story, so it's a moot point. I'm more saying that Asylum worded it a bit wonky, since it sounds like Twilight is settling.

6071848 Well, in a way she is settling (as this was written), but she's settling in regards to the gender as opposed to the person. That could mean a weak sex life, but that doesn't strike me as a dealbreaker for Twilight. If Luna turned out to be a nymphomaniac, it would be a problem!

In other words, this fanon's Twilight Sparkle is Luna-sexual. She isn't normally attracted to mares but Luna is an exception. It's odd how often you get this sort of plot device used in fan-fiction.

Hence why this was a side-story. It's just some random shit that was rattling around in my head, and I was bored at work saturday night.

You'll notice that the only one I had pre-read it is fox, and he's almost exclusively spelling/grammar.

This easily could be put in with the main story.
