No, I made him live as he "miraculously escaped." When I woke up the next morning out of my caffeinated stupor I actually said, "Well, I f@#$ed up this time."
So instead I'll continue this in a much different fashion than previously. It was just a mistake on my part thinking it would work.
So that's pretty much a confirmation that he miraculously lived to tell the tale.
