It had been a quiet, uneventful day for Doctor Whooves in Ponyville. That was, until an unfamiliar pony asked to go back 1001 years in time for an “educational” visit.
Through unforeseen consequences, the pony prevents Celestia's victory over Nightmare Moon and Equestria is plunged into eternal darkness. This wouldn't be so much of a problem if The Doctor hadn't already made his way back home. Well, “home” is now a different place entirely: Discord has broken free and most ponies are struggling for survival in the wasteland.
Now years apart and in an unfamiliar timeline, the two have to survive, mend the huge rip in time, and bring stability back to Equestria once more.

2849437 Hmm, I definitely intend to use female characters in both time periods. As for updates, I can't exactly say. I like to rotate between stories when updating and it usually depends on what I'm in the mood for. I will try however try to update as frequently as possible. It might take a few days, or it might take a few weeks for each update though :/
