New Chapter
Initiating Read.exe
Edit: I have to rename chapter 13, Epic Chapter is much more fitting.
Also "Twilight urged Twilight to turn around"
Twilight urged Spike to turn around? Or is this just my head telling me it sounds weird.
FUCKING DAWWWW
I LOVE IT. I NEED MOAR.
hnnnnnnng! Critical hit to the feels! Damn good chapter, glad to see this fic updating.
I...don't....know...why?
But I absolutely love Luna in this
Twilight urged Twilight to turn around, and when he met her gaze, his anger faded.
ERROR!
Twilight urged Spike to turn around, and when he met her gaze, his anger faded.
Error corrected.
The manly tears shed filled up a 5 gallon bucket.
Twilight urged Twilight to turn around, and when he met her gaze, his anger faded.

Double D'oh!
I'm fixin' it. I'm glad everyone seems to like it so far though. Seriously, that last scene took me all afternoon to do. I R not gud at teh ritin ov da sap scenes.
Too many run-on sentences :l
1537713
That tends to be a weakness of mine, on occasion. It's the only thing I'm constantly going back to fix by cutting sentences up. I just didn't get around to doing it all that much for this chapter for some reason.
1537480 No prob in making a mistake.
asome
its been a wile but consider the size of this monster it makes it up for it
and what a chapter it is
i always saw twilight more of a mother figure for spike than a brother and sister relation
how asome would it be if she get wings made of pure magic!
bad ass chapter, best so far!

Now now, I'm not going down that 'Twilight is an Alicorn' road, that's just too cliche. As for the Mother vs. Sister argument with Twilight and Spike, really she's more like both at the same time, when you think about it. They're close to the same age and Celestia has watched over both of them, acting like a surrogate Mother to them both, but at the same time Twilight has always been there for Spike, done everything for him to turn him into the intelligent, respectful, well-mannered and dutiful dragon he is today, and he still turns to her for advice on many things. She's as much a Mother to him as she is a sister, perhaps even moreso.

no nonono...
not saying she is a alicorn
its like the butterfly wings, but more Pegasus form you see, with magic

Ah, okay. Yes, THAT is more likely to happen, though only for recreational purposes: when you can spawn tons of tentacles, you may as well 'Doc-Ock it' when you need to get to someplace way way high in the air. If you know what I mean.
awesome chapter! so much text!
have some randoms thoughts i had while i was reading:
that's what they get for relaying on OP weapons, they need a more balanced lay-out, rather than putting all their chips on one hand(...hoof?). well, they have sparkles, so technically they do have a backup plan...

yes, you should see her WITHOUT her medicin
suuuuuure she is....
celly wants cuddling?
Dear Fire Soul,
Well, this chapter definitely was a hell of an update. So many feels, and
allmost of them conflicting. I'm going to get the one question out of my head right now that is bugging the goddamn hell out of me. When is this 'sister/mother' issue going to be addressed between Nightmare, Twilight, and what i believe is Luna. I as a reader can piece a bit of what's going on, but thinking on it just raises more questions than answers given. There were a lot of emotional breakdowns in this chapter. Luna had a mini-breakdown with Nightmare at Ponyville. This one seemed to start the cascade of sadness in this chapter, and to be honest, Celestia had a part in causing this with the words she chose against Nightmare. Nightmare's 'hidden' breakdown seems to prove that she's not completely lost yet, in my eyes, just very heavily scarred (and, partially understandably, angry) by this point. Spike had two, one 'off camera' per se where he had his realization of Twilight being his mother while she was gone in the Everfree, and the second on the airship, actually revealing it to her. Twilight had her own, after realizing what Spike said, with how much she means to him, him to her, and what she did to cause said realizations. Celestia had one listening in on Twilight and Spike's conversation (read; Breakdowns), and this particular one i'm still trying to sort through. She revealed so much that it seemed to have overwhelmed my 'feel receptors' (read: brain) as of this point in the chapter, causing manly tears and the inability to process any emotions for several moments.
I'm very interested to see where this goes from here. Will my biggest question be answered soon? I've no clue. I saw this update the other day, and realized i'd have to go back several chapters to get my context back, and i started back at Burn Part 1. Considering the last update was in July, the wait was WELL worth it and is now leaving me wanting more. I'm patient and can wait though. I waited from the last one until now, didn't i?
This particular phrase hit me as more literal than not.
I guess this hit me hard enough to start this comment like a damn letter. That's never intentionally happened before. Usually i write them and then realize they're like a letter, odd.
I... I just went back and re-read Celestia's breakdown. I think i get it now. Why it was so hard to process. Celesita sees Twilight as a daughter of sorts, much like a relationship role-inverse of how Spike sees her. She doesn't outright say it, but it just seems so heavily implied that she might has well have said it, in my opinion... Then there was Luna's addition to the conversation. That interruption broke the train to emotional sadnessville, shifting it back towards happytown. (Yes, i'm making those references No, i won't stop, dealwithit.jpg)
I guess you could call me a 'faithful reader',
ultra
P.S. Yep, this is my whole initial impression of the chapter. Celestia's breakdown i'm still sorting through, even after writing this whole thing. That particular one spoke volumes to me, that i'm still processing. As bad as this will sound, i'm still tempted crack a joke like: "We need a mechanic in here, this chapter's breaking down left and right!" I know... that was horrible, but it still needed to be said, and i'm sorry for that. I'm posting this now, before i forget like i've done so before.

I'm glad you enjoyed all of the emotions flying about in this chapter, it really did take quite a bit of work and a couple of tries to write it all out in a way that was satisfying to read, for me anyways. I need to fix quite a few run-on sentences, my one big sin when I'm just writing away more often than not, but otherwise I was very happy with how it all came out.
As for the whole family triangle thing going on with the Nightmare, and Celestia's words getting to her....well, that all is sort of tied together, and you're right, she's not entirely a lost cause, but there's a reason she's as manic as she is, and it's not just the pedophilia and rape forced upon her. Most of the answers will be coming up in the Epilogue, and then after that we get to move on to the trials and tribulations of Canterlot livin'!

...and now Studio B is making it Canon.
Nice ending.
The lack of insults is strong in this one.
I'd love to find more examples of her using the same word over and over but I've wasted enough time putting this comment in.
How on earth do you not follow, AJ?
