Excellently executed.

Now I wonder if Twilight is a descendant of Clover....

2531159 Hmm, possibly? :raritywink: In all honesty I'm not sure myself, but it might be fun to work out at some point.

Thanks for the fave and the comment!

Great job in representing Star Swirl. He reminds me of myself at times (minus the magic and competence). One who looks at things from an initial perspective of knowledge and ego, only to stop and think all of a sudden about thing things we don't have.

The quest for friendship begins with the the lack thereof. I'm not (nor do I care to be) the first to come up with that, but it fits this story (and even MLP in general) quite accurately. It's nice to read a story that explores what it's like to have trouble with friends, and the methods in which we search for people to be with that can be difficult, even if we make mistakes along the way. That's how I felt about the relationship between Star Swirl and Clover.

I don't know much about friendship myself (considering my broken circle of friends), so maybe I have to start looking around.

This story made me think. I thank you for that.

2544524 Thank you very much for the comment - I'm glad you liked my take on Star Swirl. It was a challenge to write some of his earlier dialogue at the beginning simply because of the fine line between insensitivity and maliciousness, so I'm happy that it seems to have come across OK.

With regards to friendship, I think that the best thing anyone can do is simply be yourself and you'll eventually find the right people. Not that that's always easy, of course, but it's usually worth it.

I-......This was-......Well done Author. that's all I have to say.
