Long ago, before the present Equestria existed, an isolated young kingdom known as the United Triarchy of Equestria was ruling with the land with newfound friendship. While it was far from a utopia, it was the best nation that the world had seen in a long, long time.

Meanwhile in the city of Canterlote, Clover the Clever breaks every element of her life in one simple move: she takes a walk after her bedtime. Now, she is lost and only wants to return home.

Well, I have my own personal head-canon for what may have happened to any pony after they've died, and you can find the story here. Feel free to read if you'd like, but I won't push it. Just thought you might find it interesting.

For her rules, I believe she may have had some sort of trauma in her life, perhaps related to the Windigoes, perhaps due to other events in her life, or both. Though some may have been hard to keep and contradictory, they gave her a sense of control over her life.

As for the pony tribes, I feel like they all led hard lives and/or were too focused on their daily tasks and trying to survive, especially with the arrival of the Windigoes. They were too focused on themselves to think of anything else that may be out there.

As for the historical period, I'm leaning towards either the Renaissance or the Victorian era. Widely apart, I know, but in both, there were a lot of changes in beliefs of the world. I think Renaissance because there still seems to be a religious aspect to some pony's lives, as there was in that time, but Arcane Arts still would have been believed in. I feel the same about the Victorian era, but atheist beliefs started to be more tolerable I feel, and there was an interest in Spiritualism (things like faeries and séances) which could also be considered Arcane Arts.

As for the story itself, I really enjoyed being in Clover's head. It really was thought provoking, especially all of her rules, and the descriptions of the character and scenery were lush. I could picture the entire story so clearly. Well done!

allowing a blossom of praisable light to take life upon my horn.

I'm not quite sure what you meant there, considering "praisable" is not a word.

This could use rather a lot of editing.
