Just because she was a pegasus didn't mean she wanted to be like all the others of her tribe especially when it came to earning her cutie mark. But just because you want a cutie mark in a certain field didn't mean you get the cutie mark you wanted.

Rewriting entire story for those who've already read it, changed a bit of the plot, okay, alot and hopefully everyone does like the changes.

Equestria once had a Meadow Dawn, who was presumed perished in the fire that consumed her family's home and tavern. She was given a second chance by a creature between the worlds who pulled her through, saying that she could live and find a way to return home, or even raise the dead. She resolved herself as a filly to do what she could to do both. She grew up to be a capable adventurer, mentally scarred by the fire, but eventually joining up with a group from the nearby growing kingdom, who happened to include the king.
Where will her adventures end up? Will she stay alive long enough to return home safely? Will she find romance? No one knows since this is a roleplay between two players in the ongoing campaign!

Celestia gets imprisoned on the sun for a bet. Luna rules a harsh and terrible reign for all of two months before she gives up and has the unicorns develop an AI to rule for her. After one thousand years, the robot has formed Equestria into a post-scarcity, beautiful utopia, but Nihil can't accept perfection, the damn whiner.

6 years ago, Searing Bolt's parents were Killed in a construction accident, leaving Him and his older brother Burn, orphans. Years later at Burn's wedding, Bolt decides he needs to move out and give his brother and new sister-in-law their needed space. After talking it over with his brother and much protest from his sister-in-law, they came to an agreement that he could move out after his 18th birthday, but an accident in school forced him to move earlier than expected. After discussing it over with their aunt Celestia, Burn decided it would be best for Bolt in a calmer environment, Canterlot High.

This story came to me while going back and listening to Under Pressure by Logic, it's been in my head for a while but couldn't figure out what attitude I wanted Searing Bolt to have in this story.
