When Equestria accidentally opened a portal to another world, they discovered a new species: humans. Their arrival changed the world. For the Equestrian Ponies, it heralded a great cultural and technological jump needed from their stagnating way of life. For the Gryphons, however, they represented something baser: an opportunity to increase food stock and finally have a 'friendlier' predator species to ally themselves with.

For Gilda, one of the the humans was Ancestor-sent, a soul she would protect for bringing much joy to her life. And when a chain of events force her to accompany her human to Equestria, she recalls the circumstances of their meeting, the trials they pass through, the friendship forged through fire, and love born out of understanding under the harsh skies of the Kingdom.

But tensions rise as the rigorous demands of Dash's newly formed flying team leave only frayed ends of the bond they once shared. Private's Grandfather invites him to attend visit the family in New Orneigh for the first time in over a decade. Private's mother's side of the family has always been distant from the detective following Sparrowheart's death. Private and Twilight venture to New Orneighs and discover that all is not well for the Hearts. Somepony is trying to make sure that Blueheart never recovers from his recent illness. Private will find dark secrets in his family, betrayal, and old grudges before the day is up...

Summer is the perfect season for things that grow. However, growth needs fuel, warmth can burn, and romance can be the most volatile fire there is. After she leaves Ponyville and lands a job as a city guard, Gilda will have summer days that are filled with lessons of growth, of love, and of pain.

This is a continuation of Heart of Gold, Feathers of Steel. I recommend reading that story first.

Cloud Chaser, Mrs Cake, Berry Punch, Cherilee, Carrot Top, Sassaflash, Lemon Hearts, Grand Pear, Minuette, Flower Wishes, Mayor Mare, Dr Fauna, Junebug, Big Macintosh, Sea Swirl, Amethyst Star, Dave the changeling, Muffins, Drizzle, Meadow Song, Granny Smith, and all the rest...and you.

Feather Bangs is spending his time at DJ-PON3's Club Pony Party Palace where he notices three attractive mares dancing to the music. If Feather wants to get these dancing mares' attention, he'll have to get down and dance to his heart's content.

Goldcap, Decepticolt, and Zappityhoof were exhausted from another attempt to become alicorns. It wasn't until they see a handsome stallion by the name of Feather Bangs. All three of the mares fall head over hooves for him but they realized that there were three of them and one of Feather. Due to the Pseudocorns' competitive nature, they go against each other.

When the pegasi lose their feathers, they also lose the ability to walk on clouds. The answer to 'why' is lost to time. The real question is... what happens to Cloudsdale?
