Inspired by this picture: A Change of Careers by Gray--Day. Just a short little one-shot story I threw together. There is definitely more that could be told, but that's another story.

There's a lot of things about Cadance and Shining Armor that never quite made sense: their sudden appearance before the Royal Wedding; their suspiciously convenient suitability as rulers of the Crystal Empire; their oddly abbreviated pregnancy; and even their quick change of heart after Spike asked them to forgive Thorax.

Twilight Sparkle knows exactly how deep that conspiracy goes — she was there in the beginning, when her hive's queen created Shining. And she wasn't happy about it.

Finalist in the "Things Left Unsaid" December 2015 Writeoff! Rewritten and greatly expanded to fill in more backstory and to account for Season 6 canon.

Now with family financials in dire straights and war with the Griffon Empire looming he may just at last get his chance.

Follow Pipsqueak as he experiences for himself the life of a sailor on the high seas in Their Royal Sisters' Navy as he sails off into the perils of battle on the deep dark blue. Can Pipsqueak stand the tests of sailing aboard a man-of-war, the unforgiving elements of the oceans, and of course the trials of combat?

I have always had an interest in this era of naval warfare and have always pictured that if Equestria had a navy, it would be these beautiful ships. Hope you all enjoy the high seas adventure!:twilight smile:

Thorax is keeping residence at Twilight's castle, and Spike has the brilliant idea of using his powers for some "pranks", but things don't quite go exactly as planned...

So Thorax is really fun to write. He's basically Fluttershy in a changeling's body, super awkward, unaware of things to a comedic fault, and just wants to please everybody. At least that's how I like to portray him. Hope you enjoy!

A thousand years has passed, and the land of Equestria has lived in peace, until it is rumored that the magical stones of Death have been gathered by some way. The Rumors turn out to be True when Thanatos is released back into the world, and he brings forth a war like none that Equestria has ever seen and will ever see again, bringing back the past to destroy the future in the form of five others like him. Will Equestria survive the return of the old gods, or will Twilight be forced to end the world, and possibly the universe itself.....

Trixie Lulamoon has made a hefty wager that she can travel around the world in fewer than eighty days, and has enlisted the help of her faithful friend Starlight Glimmer to do it! To achieve victory, they will need to test the very limits of their wits, their endurance... even their friendship.
