Posh

How could you do this? And on Jueves?!

A tense hostage situation ensues when Twilight Sparkle refuses to release the heir to the Crystal Empire into the custody of her father. Can Shining Armor negotiate a solution to keep the Princesses of Friendship and Love from tearing Equestria apart with civil war?

Shining fixed her with a serious look. "Twiley. Favorite sister-in-law or no, Princess of Love notwithstanding, if you got between Cadance and her baby, she would wreck you. And, of course, I'd be expected to join in." He shrugged. "It's best for everypony if we avoid that."

Cadance would probably wreck Celestia and Luna too if they got between her and Flurry Heart.

Cute, but... if Twilight is deciding to keep Flurry Heart, why give up children's books from her own collection?

7519223 To bribe Shining. She thinks they're at his reading level.

aww that's cute ;W;

Daww, my heart can't take it, this is too cute. :fluttercry:

Isn't Flurry Heart's birthday coming up?

Shots fired!

Also, yeah, Shining Armor, the whole Flash Sentry thing is a little complicated, what with staying in different dimensions and all. Never mind how reluctant you appear to be to actually hand over the pony one, who's still stationed in the Crystal Empire...

Twilight, invite Flash Sentry to visit your side of the mirror already.

Funny story!

It says 'Complete', but the end suggested this isn't the end . Will there be a sequel, more chapters or something like that?

7521809 Nooooope~!

But thank you for your interest.

Why doesn't Twi just get one of her friends to come over, cast some sort of magic voodoo, and do it that way?

Cadence: What makes you think we haven't been working on a little brother or sister for Flurry alread, Twilight?
Twilight: Ick!
Cadence: Of course, if you let me take her home, I won't get to fill you in on every single exquisite detail of the process. After all, I expect to have little nieces or nephews from you sometime soon. You know, I could send over some of our Crystal Guard for you to page through, check them out, maybe you would want to keep one on indefinite loan. I think there would be more than enough volunteers--
Twilight: All right, already. Here. You can have her. Until next time. Which had better be soon.
Cadence: Thank you, Twily. (kisses) We'll just see ourselves out. Oh, look. You have a visitor. I'll just leave you two alone to get aquaintedandI'llseeyoulaterTwilightbye!
Twilight: (long pause to look at the Crystal Guard who had been shoved in the door at the same time Cadence had made her retreat with little Flurry Heart, which might have been easier on her if the guard was not wearing a pink bow tied around him and a gift card.)

That last line threw me off a bit, but that's just me. Otherwise, cute story. It makes me wonder what Twilight would be like as a new mother. Probably adorably crazy.

Sorry, I realize that this comment is two years+ after publishing...

"But she's perfect, Shiny!" Twilight whined. She levitated Flurry in front of her. "Just look at those cheeks! Pinching them is like pinching a pair of heavenly marshmallows!"

So adorably squishy! :rainbowkiss:

From the synopsis, I was expecting it to be a bigger thing, but I see now that was an intentional misdirect. :twilightsheepish: Thanks for the read.

Aww, this was adorable and incredibly thoughtful. Thank you for sharing it.
