In the United States, today is the national holiday named for Martin Luther King Jr. He was one of the most influential voices of the last century, leading a movement that changed the face of the country, shifting laws and public opinion alike. He advocated most prominently for racial equality, but he was much more than that; in political views, he was a democratic socialist, and he supported various social welfare programs, among many other things.
Give it up for the man who helped promote equality between ethnicities and cultures!
Kaiju of many shapes and size rule our world. They go by many names as well;
Anguirus.
Varan.
Rodan.
Mothra.
Ghidorah.
Manda.
Battra.
Kamacuras.
Gorosaurus.
Zilla.
Kumonga.
Destoroyah.
Titanosaurus.
Godzilla.
Just to name a few.
Holy shnikies, did you guys see that?
Check out the references on the left side of that screenshot. First, in the back seat, you see "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles."
For my 275th blog post, I decided to show you all another really funny sketch that I love watching on YouTube.
This video that I'm showing you guys today is another that stars late comedic genius, Peter Sellers.
So yeah, after catching this on AMC about two or three years ago, I stumbled across The Departed on the HBO Go app (which I love, thank you HBO).
Anyways, I used this as an opportunity to reintroduce myself to the film, and suffice to say, I did enjoy it.
Thirteen years ago today, Chris and Martin Kratt came back again to show us what it would be like to have the different powers and abilities of the animal kingdom... IN ANIMATED FORMAT!
In relation to all the psychology pointers I've been giving I want to share with you a big pile of facts and inspiration I found from someone named
Sharon Martin, MSW, LCSW, a licensed psychotherapist specializing in helping individuals struggling with perfectionism, codependency, and people-pleasing.
Today's the day, MLK's Birthday.
I'm aware that it could be a bit touchy of a subject for some people, but I'd like to say that I really look up to him. He's such a role model, because of his work among many others, we have more equality,(the good type, not the bad Starlight Glimmer's type.) everyone can go to the same school, people can drink from the same water fountain, we can sit in the same place. We can now do many things because of many people's efforts, but Martin has done a lot.
Rating Scale:
12/10—a complete masterpiece; flawless and outstanding
11/10—Excellent, near-perfect film
10/10—the standard rating; awesome film with a couple of flaws
9/10—a wonderful film with several flaws
I seem to be getting a bit lax checking in. Sorry about that. I’m just busy and forget to blog, and then I can’t think of what I want to say… so… anybody see any good movies or shows lately?
On Netflix, I watched 7Seeds, which was pretty good… not the best, but worth a try if you like post apocalypse anime. Home is… kind of awful? But it’s scary how much it grows on you if you keep watching it. Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans is quite thrilling, worth a watch even if you’re not into gundams.
As some of you might have noticed, I am a huge fan of Game of Thrones, both the show and it's inspiration, the "A Song of Ice and Fire" books. As such, I decided I will share with you some of my speculations regarding the next episode, as, frankly, this is the only place people sometimes listen to my opinions
Hey all. Thought I'd try to ring out 2023 with a listing of the five movies I thought were the best of the year.
Without further ado, let's begin:
5) Godzilla Minus One
Wake me up, Wake me up inside (I can't wake up), wake me up inside, save me from the dark--
What? That's exactly what was running through my mind when I watched this movie.
For anyone interested, I felt I should point out the Sci-fi Classics Humble Bundle currently running (for what looks like two weeks).
As usual for the humble bundles, you get some of the books no matter how much ytou pay, same if you pay more then average, and in this case, some if you pay 15$ or more. Here's a list of what's in there:

Alfred Hitchcock's slasher-thriller is one of the best films in the genre, and one of the best Hitchcock films period.
