North Star Anti-Fleet Defenses Around the North Star System · 10:18am Dec 17th, 2015

Deep within the large military command headquarters on Þettaland, deep within the bowels of the facility, there lies humanity's second truly stable AI. Its comprehension spans the galactic sector's largest computer complex. In it's control lies the greatest defensive weapon humanity has ever conceived.

A defense system comprised by two simple things...

A enormous mass displacement FTL gate generator,

and billions of small rocks with control thrusters on them.

May be humans should stop/pause/fade out writing specific castrated (for children) literature, and instead try to explain good adult (and for me definition of adult key-based on thinking, not age) themes for actual childrens, for example by telling from memory. Some shrinking will happen automagically. Sci-fi tales looks good, but only if you include remark about current situation with science - it all rotten to the core, because humans who do it currently not better than average humans, and

I've been working on a Midgardian Union Banner (the world uniting government that was in power before the aliens initiated a strike on earth, was the one to organize the escape/evacuation from earth before it was majorly destroyed in the asteroid strikes.) It will PROBABLY (not definitely) be the Banner of the North Star Rike.

In case anyone is wondering, that text on the side is a combination of short stick fuþark, elder fuþark, and medieval fuþark. It reads "HKS AURORA DANSARI" If anyone is available to correct my icelandic I'd really appreciate it.

Hey all.
Someone asked me about the feasibility of space travel in the fallout setting. Since playing fallout 3 and new vegas as a kid, I was always drawn to the space-age technology you could find scattered around the wasteland. I reasoned humankind was on the brink of having colonies on Mars and elsewhere. Its told to you as much by some characters and you can read about it in a few terminals.

Progress is happening · 7:10am May 5th, 2021

The two characters that are going to go on the cover art of The Fine Line are mostly done. The first one won't have that rainbow where a cutiemark goes, or any to start with. I also need to make wings. Ouch. I've tried that before and I don’t see anything easy about accomplishing that but I’ll have an easier time than my last attempt four years ago. Let me hear your thoughts!

Hidden Science Fiction · 10:33am Nov 24th, 2017

When I found this groups with science fiction stories, I noticed that not all the stories there had a Sci-Fi tag. Even in folders like “Hard Scifi” and “Tech in Equestria”. So I may have missed something good when I looked for stories by the tag.

An image, that can illustrate a science fiction story:

Hyperloop! · 4:04am Apr 8th, 2017

So I was on Google just searching up random things when I came across this. Hyperloop. What a hyperloop is, is it's a transit system that has a long tube going from one location to another, and humans (or cargo) get put into pods, which are more like cylindrical train carriages that are levitating via a shit ton of magnets that make it was physically nothing. Then, there are two fans like things on either side of the tube that suck and blow. Now all jokes aside these tubes would create enough

My year-plus-long-streak of reading nothing but pony words (srsly, ya'll might maybe just possibly just write too much...still have a long RIL list!) finally ended this week, as the siren song of Safehold drew me back to my living room library shelves with the newest installment in David Weber's second most popular series. Sorry, Merlin, even you cannot compete with Lady Dame Admiral of the Red Honor Harrington and her spaceborne armadas of justice handing-outingness

HOLY COW, I didn't think I'd ever get this much of her design down. Needless to say she is not quite what I had originally invisioned when I first made this story. In some ways she is a lot more like the ship she was inspired by (the Cleveland Class Cruiser). I had originally intended she just have 6 guns in 3 turrets (2 fore, 1 aft, mirrored) in the end I went with the original triple gun turrets, and had 2 aft, 2 fore (mirrored on the bottom) pushing her total to 24 guns.
