Since meeting Apple Bloom, Twilight, and their friends, Zecora's life has become much more filled with warmth and purpose than it has been ever before. But old patterns of thought are hard to change, and becoming part of a community can seem impossible to a recluse.

The Princesses' birthday celebration is here again, and Mayor Mare needs a scapegoat—er, trusted citizen—to handle Ponyville's gift. Certainly, deciding what to get for an ancient ruler who's seen everything will be a piece of cake. Hm, cake. Maybe that's not such a bad idea.

Then again, unexpected events sometimes turn out for the best, as the candy maker gets to meet a pony who has something in common with her: feeling down in the dumps.

Luna wants to play hide-and seek with Celestia, and when Celestia agrees, the little princess decides to hide in the best spot imaginable: the shoe closet. Who knew a shoe closet could be this fun?

After the game, Luna learns an important lesson of hide-and-seek.

Twilight looked over to her dear mentor, Princess Celestia, and found she had once again fallen asleep mid-lesson. Her intense debate on awakening the princess was cut short when the decision was taken out of her hooves.

“Huh? Oh. Twilight, I am so sorry for falling asleep again. I think we need to reschedule this for tomorrow morning.”

Twilight nodded. After all, Princess Celestia was obviously overworked. If only there was something she could do to help.

The Mighty Crusaders! But a villain arrives and plans to bring chaos and mayhem to all of Ponyville, and the our heroes race against the clock to thwart his evil schemes... until they're called home for dinner.

It's been a long time since Ponyville had such a strange visitor, in fact, the last visitor from so far away was Zecora herself. Ironically, it's the very arrival of this visitor that prompts Zecora to begin questioning her decision to stay in the Everfree. Overcome with sudden homesickness, the zebra begins to consider returning to where she came from.
